I bought this for my 4 yr old son who is learning to write his letters and numbers. The board was great at first, but it seemed after about 3-5 days of writing and erasing from the easel, the board was being marked and scratched and these marks were not removable. I find this disappointing considering it was occurring after less than a week of use. I do not see how it will hold up for 6-12 months. I did like that the letter magnets were included (no chalk though). Loved the little bins to hold the letters, markers and eraser(not included). Overall a very cute easel with cute accessories, but I will be returning to WalMart due to the lack of durability for this type of priced item.

My 1-year-old twins love this easel and the little numbers and letters, although we had to remove the smallest shapes, and we have to always keep an eye on them playing with the rest. There are so many things kids can do with this toy, it's great! It's a very sturdy construction as well. Very pleased!

The dry erase board part is great, my 3 year old loves to scribble on it. However, the chalk board does not work well at all. I got colored chalk and it got stained the first day. I would suggest only using white chalk. The magnets are great and overall it was a good deal.

    • Yes, it is a dry erase board. The markers do not come with it, but I had no trouble finding them.

    • You can put paper under the clip and draw that way but not with chalk. Now, I have thought about trying it with dry erase markers but we haven't tried that yet.

    • Yes, it draws on the magnetic side, but easily scratches shotly after use. If used daily, it will begin to have permanent marks and scratches after a week or so.

    • I have not tried to draw on the magnetic side yet I only had it a week, but to me it's to nice to draw on the magnetic side just in case it don't come off so we only use the chalk side. Chalk does not come with it so we bought the large chalk and they love to draw on it. Keeps the grandchildren busy!!! I would recommend it - nice product!!! Good Luck...
