Rated 5 out of 5 by Echol8r Perfect cycling socks! Not much to say really...these socks are superior to cotton socks for the purpose of cycling - particularly in cycling shoes. The materials of these socks, 98% polyester and 2% spandex are excellent for wicking away perspiration whereas cotton socks do not. That makes a significant difference when one is riding long distances, or any instance where one's feet need to breathe.The Walmart description of these socks seems contradictory to me in that they are described as having mesh to allow one's feet to breathe, but at the same time they could be worn to keep one's feet warm and cozy. Maybe they do both, but as a personal note, I do not want my feet to be warm and cozy when cycling, and the socks do not seem overly so when I use them.I purchased these socks as a cost-effective alternative to cycling-specific socks because I don't need logos, or silly marketing strategies for my socks...I just need them to be an enhancement to my gear. These socks fit the bill exceptionally well and I will continue to use them! 04/20/2013
