Great Improvement These episodes look amazing compared to the DVD version. I've probably seen Encounter at Farpoint twenty times and I was noticing details that I had never seen before. Yes, it looks a little grainy but no more so than any other series shot on 35mm film and then transferred to blu-ray like Battlestar: Galactica. 02/15/2012
Bad Transfer To say this HD at its best would be a lie. They cleaned it up quite a bit, yes. Most of the visuals are good, but not great. The TrueHD sound mix is terrible, the picture is grainy and looks atrocious on a big screen TV. If Paramount was hoping this would influence to buy the set on Blu-Ray, boy did they miscalculate. 02/12/2012
