    Hoping Wal-Mart knows how to handle MMO preorders. The game itself looks pretty good. You will be able to play in Space as well as beam your landing party onto planets to do ground missions. This seems like a mix between Star Wars Galaxies and Eve Online.Apparently the universe is endless, much like Eve online, whereas you can be the first in the entire game to discover new planets. Also it was mentioned on the official site that undiscovered space-faring species may join your faction (Federation or Klingon).Space combat looks like it will work like previous Star Trek video games (which are all based on the Star Trek pen-and-paper RPG).Cryptic Studios has proven themselves by making other great games like City of Heros and Champions online, so this will undoubtedly be a good game, although the Collector's Edition price is close to $90 (with tax and shipping) which seems a little hefty to me.I do have a few questions left unanswered, since it seems that every single pre-order for any MMO I have played has left me angry and demanding my money back because Beta codes and early head starts were not handled well (although the companies I dealt with were not Wal Mart)1: This product is supposed to come with 500 bonus skill points, and it is not listed in the ad.2: Open beta starts January 12. I am wondering if a key will be delivered by email so we can be guaranteed our spot (I find it strange they claim to guarantee you a spot in open beta when technically open beta means EVERYBODY can play, even those who did not buy the game).3: The early head start begins Jan 29th. If the keys aren't e-mailed by then, Wal Mart will have a lot of very angry customers. 01/03/2010
    Hate to burst your bubble I would recommend this game, but I'm not sure if I will stick with it, on the long haul.Cyb0rg, all MMO's every last one I've dealt with, and in the past 15 years for me, there have been a whole lot of them, there has always been "issues". So don't get discouraged when the servers are down the first day, or even if the servers aren't open the day of the release. As far as beta access is concerned, the closed beta is going on NOW! If your an avid gamer, I suggest a Fileplanet account, you get access to exclusive betas as soon as they hit, and it's well worth the yearly price to have it. 01/05/2010
    STO Online Collectors Edition My son took over my account 2 weeks after I started playing. I bought this to get him the ingame special items. It would have been nice if he could apply the items to his account while allowing me to use the game code to create another account so I could join him in the game. 03/28/2011
    Can't reach Star Track Online yet!! I purchased this for my 12 yr. old nephew for Christmas, I knew he would love it because I fell in love with it the moment I saw the Demo. Well, he has not thanked me yet because he said he wanted to wait until hie got it downloaded to his computer. then he would be reall excited when he called to thank me. To share the joy. It seems that that it has not happened, because there is a problem downloadng it. I too am very dissapointed with this product. It too high tech for the product itself. ( lol) I hope it is resolved by tech support soon, or I will have to send it back.I'm sorry! :{ I can't say if I will or not recommend this product to anyone at this time. 01/14/2011
