I ordered this tool box for myself around the christmas time. It was on sale for $68.00. It is a very nice set and the box is sturdy enough for my needs. I usually am a craftsman, kobalt or husky tool guy but this seemed like a offer i couldnt refuse. Let's face it Stanley tools are not a shabby tool and the set that comes with this box is definetly a mediocre set (BASIC). Having said that this tool box will be used as a third set for me for a travel trailer i have upstate so i dont have to lug along one of my other ones. Would recommend to buy. This box also has keys and a lock and a slide bar in the rear so the drawers can't open unless the top is open.

Top of box crushed in

In concept this is a great toolbox. However, when I got it, the top of the box was slightly crushed. When I got home and opened the box, the top of the toolbox was crushed and the frame of the box damaged. I recommend that you open the box in the store and inspect it. It does not take much to damage this box and ruin the experience for you. Further, I called Stanley, and they said they have no way to replace the box, recommending me to take it back to Walmart. I told them that their warranty is useless, as this was defective before I opened the box. They said they would ask the manufacturer in China if there was anything they could do.

I gave this as a gift to our son...He was very excited with it...said it was just what he wanted, he had his tools stolen and didn't have any....I just wish it had gone on clearance before I ordered it as I would have saved about $30.00 or more....

I thought I was done shopping for my 12 yr old son until I saw this in the Store five days before Christmas. I went home and regretted not buying it so I looked online for kicks. It was $25 CHEAPER THAN IN THE STORE!!!! Ordered it on Monday night before christmas, paid $5 shipping and got it on Thursday by Fed Ex. I couldn't believe it and my son absolutely loves it! It is decent quality box and the tools are decent homeowner quality tools and plenty of them for a 12 yr. old. Also plenty of room as he builds his collection. For a total of $58, it was a real steal! My wife wants one now so I don't get on her about leaving my tools all around.

We bought this for our 11 yr old son for Christmas and it was a huge hit. The tool chest is sturdy. It came with some pouches for some of the tools, if you need them. After you open the top lid, you will find a bar located in the back. Removing the bar is how you are able to unlock the other drawers. I like this little detail because the drawers won't slide out if the chest is tipped. The tool chest locks, two keys are included. There are a gracious plenty of tools and they seem to be very well made. We only had to add a tape measure, hammer, nails/screws. Those were not included. This set should last quite awhile.

  • A. Both SAE and metric are included, in roughly parallel sets. The toolbox seems rugged and well-built; the only issue is that the two corner bumpers for the top cover will probably have to be cemented in place because they easily come loose.

  • A. Both, and the box is decent quality. I couldnt imagine it wearing out with dormal use. Throwing it in and out of the back of a pickup might be to much for it. Overall I was expecting less but got more.

  • A. I believe they are both. And the tool box is actually a really good quality for the cheap price. I would highly recommend. It really comes with everything basic you need...except a hammer!

  • A. Yes, sockets and wrenches are both metric and standard. The toolbox is a steel box with roller bearing drawers and a keyd lock. It is very nice.

  • A. Tool chest is very heavy and sturdy. It has two handles on the sides to carry it by. There is a bar in the back and once removed, the drawers can be opened. It's to keep the drawers closed when you need them to stay closed. Not sure about sockets and wrenches...
