    • A. Youcan special order a teeny seat, but the one that comes with the bike is a standard-sized bicycle seat. Very comfortable.

    • A. It seems to be of average size to me. I've "rode" the bike for over 30 minutes at a time without getting a sore booty from it and have never found the seat uncomfortable.

    • A. No. This is not a spinning bike. I doubt the pedals were made for that type of work. Use the bike as directed. See: http://www.staminaproducts.com/art/manuals/15-0960.pdf.

    • A. Not according to the owner's manual - you can stand on the rear stabilizer and, reaching over the seat, use your arms to work the handlebars for an upper body workout, but no, you can't stand on the pedals and operate it.

I was looking for a value but this isn't it. I have had it for 13 months and the tension strap has just broken for the second time. The first time was just 4 months after I got it and the company informed me this was the last time they would replace it! The strap is made of cloth and no matter how hard I tried to keep it from the air wheel, it kept riding back to it and fraying the strap which throws lint all over the place until it finally shreds. It is very difficult to adjust the tension internally too-you have to completely take the bike apart- and when I did, I disconnected the monitor wire because there was no warning about this and the wire could not be reconnected so I had no monitor from the beginning and the company said this was my fault and wouldn't replace it. I decided I would use it until it broke again and will never buy from this company again! Spend the extra few dollars for another model and brand and save yourself alot of headache!

What can I say that hasn't been said already? Took about two hours to assemble, but I took my time and made sure it was put together correctly. Instructions are pretty clear, but you WILL waste time hunting for parts that are in unusual places. Once I had it put together I tried my first ride. Pedal action is smooth, but I do hear an occasional thumping sound when pedaling. ( no the linkages from the pedals to the handle bars were not put on backwards ) Right now I'm only riding about 1 1/2 miles every other day. About 15 minutes of moderate pedaling. So far I'm very pleased with the bike, but because of some of the negative reviews, I made sure to buy the extended warranty ( 3 years ).

I just got this bike today and put it together by myself (I'm a not-so-handy-with-tools girl) and it was fairly easy to assemble. It works GREAT! The seat isn't uncomfortable like I expected it would be, and it gives a great workout. As long as you tighten all the bolts and screws tightly enough you won't have any knocking noises. I did 30 minutes and man, I can feel the burn. I love it! This really is a great value!!

I'll be honest, the main reason I was attracted to this machine was its price. After reading the many reviews on this...and other machines.. I decided to purchase it. You can't always go on the experiences of others. I am glad. It took me a lot longer to put togather...Approx 4 hours. The directions were confusing, but the pics and common sense helped. But to be fair, it was around midnight that I began assembling. I had some trouble putting the seat into the base because it was so fitted. But I guess thats a good thing. I almost gave up..but after getting some rest and wiggling the seat in place, it gave. I've had this for about a week now and I try and get about 30 mins a day.. i'm not the lightest person in the world so lets say i was surprised it's still solid. It's a bit loud, but i can still hear any tv or music playing on normal-high volume. All in all, my husband and I are quite satisfied with this product. Here's to hoping it stays that way.

As with all manuals, this one said to verify all the parts were there. There was one small bag with some screws and bolts in it that wasn't anything near what you should have, so I emailed them for the missing ones. I decided to start putting it together with what I had and that is when I discovered that most of the missing pieces were attached to the parts they went to. I was able to put the whole thing together that day. It would have been far less frustrating if they made mention of this fact on the same page they told you to make sure you had all the nuts and bolts. The bike is easy to ride and really does work. It got my heart rate up in just a couple of minutes and that was at the lowest resistance. After only 2 weeks, my legs are considerably stronger and I find I have a far easier time getting back up from the floor if I need to get down there. Yes, I am older than most of the world and needed help getting back up, but I can do it by myself now. That is a big deal at my age. I only ride for 5-10 minutes once a day, but I am still building stamina.
