These work great in my ammo cans. And since these are designed for 5-7 cubic ft. per foil pack, they will remain dry for longer periods of time in tightly sealed ammo cans.

Excellent product, conveniently packaged and compact enough to be used in small containers, or adequate for large areas like a gun safe. Good too that the indicators on each package show when the packet is saturated with moisture. It can then be placed in an oven on low heat, moisture removed, and ready again for use,

    • A. It lasts about a month in a closed safe. Yes it requires recharging.

    • A. Should last for up to 6 weeks, maybe longer since your box is sealed, but it depends on your average humidity levels and the size of the box. Each packet is designed for a ten cubic foot area and can be recharged up to 4 times by placing in a vented oven at 200F for 3 hours min, 6-10 hours for best results.

    • A. Depends on the size of the box and RH of the atmospheric conditions in which you live in. If it's a smaller box and it doesn't get opened up that much it might be a year before you have to "recharge" the pack.

    • A. If they are put in an air-tight box, then they should stay good indefinitely and probably not need to be recharged.

    • A. I believe that in an air-tight container, it would last indefinitely. It has 3 small circles on each packet which are blue when they don't contain moisture. As they absorb moisture, they change color to pink. When that happens, they can be placed in an oven, at 200 degrees, and the circles turn back to blue when dry, and the packets are then ready to use again.
