Item Description
Monitor temperature in up to four locations with the Springfield Multi-Zone Wireless Thermometer. It features programmable temperature alerts and high/low temperature memory readouts for convenience. This multi-zone thermometer can display both indoor and outdoor temperatures and comes with a WWVB signal strength indicator. It has a built-in radio-controlled clock to display accurate time. You can set it to view temperature either in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit. This Springfield digital thermometer also displays a calendar and has an auto scroll function. As a bonus feature, it includes a remote jack that functions as a 10-inch temperature probe to find out temperature of pools, freezers, and soil.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SaltyDawg Nice Product, but... This product works well and I do recommend it, but there is room for improvement. The remote unit is NOT waterproof and self adhesive Velcro does not stick to it. I used Velcro to mount it in a dry place. The glue let go and the unit fell from the wall and got rained on. I have ordered another sender from Springfield. I plan to put this one in a ziplock bag. Second, it would be nice if the indoor unit had a fold out table stand. It's only designed to hang from the wall. 09/24/2009
Rated 3 out of 5 by JSimo You get what you pay for I was actually pleasantly surprised when I got the e-mail saying the product had arrived at the store a week before expected.But with the product itself, I've had similar issues that others have had about the base unit not recieving the signal very well. Just when I was about to give up on it and take it back to Walmart, I finally got it to work consistently from about 60 ft away in line of sight through a glass window. The remote is supposed to transmit up to 100 ft but I'm doubting that. I've come to the conclusion that the signal is about as effective as my good tv remote in that it won't take much to block the signal.I'm going to assume that the clock is accurate but I have a second thermometor in my greenhouse with the remote one and their temps are usually between 4-12 degrees different even when they're sitting right next to each other. I don't know which, if either, is accurate.I've also put both the base unit and the remote unit next to each other and their temps differ by 2-4 degrees. 03/09/2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by AwareShopper Excellent Reliable Product I purchased two of these units to compare the outside temperature and inside temperature to my attic temperature.I've used it for a couple of weeks, and it is reliable and works well.I am considering buying an attic fan, but before I do that, I wanted to collect data.These units work great for my purpose. Each of the remote units are only about 30 feet from the base unit, so I can't comment on how close to the 100 foot distance can actually be achieved.However, I recommend this product for simplicity and reliability.And, an added plus it the ability of the base unit to display the time, date, and day of the week, received directly from the National Brureau of Standards. 05/14/2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by brtkelso poor quality Only 30 seconds after the batteries were installed, the LCD display went permanently dim - so dim the numbers couldn't be read from 2 ft away.No in store replacement was available so asked for, and got, my charges refunded. Did not want to chance that another two weeks wait for shipping would result in a working product! 11/27/2009
