even hungry strays won't eat it...no joke! I've been feeding a stray cat for the past few years and bought this for times when my scraps from dinner are not enough. Lately there is a second stray that comes around so I wanted something cheap rather than giving them my own cat's food which is a little more expensive. When I got home from the Walmart, the main stray was waiting for me. He hadn't eaten in at least 16 hours so I put some in his bowl and and ate like 4 pieces and then left. The later, the second stray who hadn't eaten in at least a day came by. She ate just 8-10 pieces before giving up.I wish this was better, but it is pretty bad when starving strays are walking away. I should have spent he 40 more lousy cents to get 9 Lives or Friskies. 06/26/2011
Blessing In Disguise I was trying to switch my kitty Mittens for over a year to canned food since it's the best for your cat's diet. (Not even the most expensive brands of dry food compares with cheap wet food, the dry foods are so high in carbs). I was giving him Purina Cat Chow Dry and he loved it so much that it was getting so hard to make the switch to wet food. I bought Special Kitty dry food and realized that my cat hated it so much that it turned him to a can food lover. I'm glad I tried this brand. Now anytime he cries for dry, I pour this food, he smells it and gets turned off. Then I put down some wet food and he gobbles it up. I leave the dry at night for him, so he doesn't start whining at 4am, and he doesn't finish it up like he did the Purina Cat Chow. He is not over-eating anymore. Special Kitty Dry was the best mistake for my cat. Kitty now eats Friskies canned and Facny feast wet. By the way, the special kitty gourmet canned food is as good as Fancy Feast. I tried it for Mr. Picky and he loved it as much as Fancy Feast. 01/28/2012
