I bought this for my daughter's new daybed. I took it out of the box & left it untouched for 48 hours per the instructions and it only rose to 4". We were waiting for boxspring to arrive so my daughter didn't use the mattress for a week & it still didn't rise the extra inch. Because of it only being 5", the cover it came with is loose as is the twin fitted sheet. However, it's very comfortable & my daughter likes it better than the regular mattress she had.

This mattress doesn't have a thick enough layer of memory foam to even retain the properties of said foam when you lay on it. It's decent enough, as long as you're NOT expecting to receive a memory foam mattress.

I bought two mattresses for a bunk bed set I got for my grandchildren. They love their mattresses. They've held up well under all sorts of wear and tear, including an accident or two. My youngest grandchild is just anxious to be out of his toddler bed, which doesn't have the same mattress as the other two have. He tries to go to sleep on their beds all the time, he loves the mattresses so much. Although they are small and light, I've put on weight over the years and recently due to an injury to my grandson, we switched beds. I thought for sure I'd be even more miserable in his bed than my own. I had already planned to buy a new mattress but hadn't decided which. I've been sleeping on his 5" mattress, and I'm well over 200 lbs., for a week now. My back hasn't hurt once upon waking! I don't use this word lightly, it's like a miracle to me. I never thought a mattress this thin would work for me at all. I still plan to buy a mattress thicker than this one, but these are excellent mattresses!

This mattress was a great deal! It was a little more expensive than the other twin youth mattresses, but well worth it. I bought it to use on a top bunk for my 5 year old granddaughter and I wanted something thin, so we would't have any issues with it being to high because my grandbaby is ALL OVER the bed at night and I had to make sure there was plenty of room between the top of the mattress and the top of the rail so I knew she wouldn't fall off the bed during the night. But it also had to be firm, as I wasn't purchasing a "bunky board". This mattress fit the bill perfectly! I am impressed with it's comfort, even with a row of bars beneath it. My 27 year old daughter slept on it and said it was great. I get up on it to make the bed and crawl on my knees and can barely feel the bars, and considering I fall in at about 155 lbs that's pretty darned good! The color is just as bright as the picture which is the only problem because my granddaughter doesn't want to cover it up with the sheet! Fantastic product!!

I ordered two of these, in blue, for my sons for Christmas. First, it is ridiculous that the blue are $15 more than the pink ... but alas I have boys and fuschia isn't really their style. Second, delivery was pretty good. There was a slight delay that was the shippers fault and not Walmarts but ultimately they did arrive on time for Christmas and everything worked out. Third, the two things that I ordered were the same ... what I received WAS NOT! One of them is as described but the other has a completely different cover (white) and is twice as thick. I am not sure why a substitution was made as I was not notified, but certainly the products are different which caused my older one to wonder why Santa would deliver two different beds to the same house. Because of the substitution error I have resolved never to purchase from Walmart this close to delivery again, had I had more time I could have sent it back and received what I actually ordered and not something they thought would work.

After reading most of the reviews (which were fairly decent), I decided to go ahead and purchase 2 of these mattresses for my 5 and 7 yr old daughters for their new twin beds. The beds came surprisingly fast to my door which was nice, however upon opening the boxes and looking at what was inside, I discovered they needed to be laid flat for 48 hours to fully "plump" up to their intended sizes. The mattresses come rolled up like a big version of a yoga mat. After a week and a half of laying on a hard surface the mattress cover that comes on the "memory foam" bed is still too big around the entire bed, and one of the mattresses did not "plump" up at all on one side. Normal twin sheets do not even fit these mattresses, they are WAY too big. These mattresses are more like memory foam toppers, which you can buy for a much cheaper price. I would not recommend buying these "mattresses" for the use of a mattress, maybe a topper, but not much else. I will be returning these to walmart and getting a real mattress for my daughters.

I love it and I don't love it: LOVE: *Color *Cover protects mattress (leak-proof) Huge intensive and I didn't even realize it until my daughter had an accident and I dreaded cleaning the mattress. Took cover off and WHA-LA mattress was protected. DON'T LOVE: *Fabric isn't soft. I have callus's on my feet and they kinda stick to the bed-nothing a sheet can't take care of, but then I can't enjoy the color pink :-) My daughter doesn't complain about it, it is her bed, but we love to cuddle. *Mattress isn't that thick-can feel the box spring..makes it a hard bed. Again, my daughter doesn't complain, but not that comfy for me. *Zipper broke. This was the most annoying thing. I think I took the cover off twice before the zipper broke. If I am spending $100+ on a product, I expect it to last/work much longer than a few times. If you go with this product, be aware of this and be cautious when zipping and unzipping cover

As far as thickness, it's perfect for bunk beds. The waterproof mattress cover is nice. My biggest problem was its more like foam than memory foam. It would have been better if the website showed exactly what these were made of so I wouldn't have spent the money on something I really wasn't looking for. The bottom of the mattress could stand to be denser so the bed slats weren't felt through the mattress and the top could definitely use a softer more comfortable foam to properly support my growing daredevils. If you're looking for memory foam, I suggest spending the few extra dollars on something else.

this is a very soft mattress, very comfy for my daughter. i even took a nap on it when we first got it! since my daughter still sometimes has *accidents*, i was worried about how to wash the memory foam mattress. i don't worry anymore - all you have to do is unzip the mattress cover and wash it! the cover has a lining that prevents any liquids to actually hit the memory foam. thank goodness!

I was skeptical because of some of the reviews, but ordered this anyway. We ordered 2 of these to act as the "box springs" part of our king size bed. These are at the bottom and we have a 4 inch memory foam topper on the top. That's our bed. My husband built a platform for the bed to go on and this is superb! I like a mattress that conforms to my body, my husband likes a firm mattress with a little give. We are both in love! It is firm, yet soft at the same time. I should say that the first night we slept on these they were on the top, we didn't have the memory foam topper on them yet. They were still very comfortable. I would but these again in a heart beat!

First off, it may surprise you to know that I'm 29 years old and I bought this twin sized child's mattress for myself. That's because I'm only 5'6 and I actually fit perfectly on a twin. I bought it because memory foam mattresses are suppose to be better for your back and neck then springboard mattresses, and because I hated the mattress I had(it's an extra firm which is really uncomfortable to me). Before you buy it you should know a couple things. First, you're suppose to wait 24 hours before using it, so that the foam has time to expand to it's maximum size. Initially when you take it out of the bag it's only about 3.5". Second, even though it says it's 5" thick, mine only got up to 4.5". It wasn't thick enough to support me as I sank straight to the box-spring underneath, and because of that it was very uncomfortable and hurt my back. I ended up putting my old mattress underneath it. Now, if your buying this for a small child(which it was obviously intended for) that probably wouldn't be an issue since there wouldn't be near as much weight put on it. I would recommend this for a small child. It's the cheapest memory foam mattress I could find, and the blue/pink cover is even suppose to repel dust mites! If your a short adult looking to buy this for yourself or another adult, I'd highly recommend either buying 2 and stacking them or looking elsewhere for a thicker mattress.

I wanted these mattresses for my 3 year old (30 lbs) and 8 year old (60 lbs) girls girls. As with all memory foam mattresses, neither of them expanded to the full dimensions... Which I'm fully aware of and okay with. After less than a week you can see that dent of where my 8 year old slept. She switched ends... About a week later she switched to the other end next to the original ditch. My 3 year old refuses to sleep on it after 2 weeks...I'm assuming it's as uncomfortable as her sister tells me hers is but I'll never know since she's nonverbal autistic. I will tell you that she screams if we try to put her to bed on this mattress now.... She'd rather sleep on a blanket on their floor! Until we can afford new mattresses the 8 year old has these double on her bed (she said it's better but nothing like my memory foam mattress), the autistic 3 year old is in bed with my husband and I PLUS our 3 month old that cosleeps with me due to colic. We're all extremely disappointed in these mattresses. I didn't have great expectations but these didn't even meet my realistic, kinda low expectations.
