The slots for the earrings are too deep, the hanging earrings (no backs, no studs) will not stay in the places for them. I put some small eyelet screws in the slots, as well as some small cup hooks and made it work for me, but I find it odd that they apparently did not test this before they sold it. Since I used a little American ingenuity, I made it work. I put rings and large earrings on the cup hooks, and used the eyelet screws to put my hanging earrings. 11/15/2011
