The box is about 1501bs and about 9 feet long. it's a pain.

It is heavy duty stuff, just keep in mind my instruction manual had me putting it together wrong. I had to take apart several times to try and figure out the proper way to put it. I was following directions exactly and STILL ended up having to figure it out for myself! Love how it looks, but it was NOT worth all the hassle!

I had to open the box on the porch and carry it in piece by piece. I think the box said 300 lbs (?). I did put it together by myself (I am 5&#39;1&quot; and not the healthiest), and if you take the drawers and the 2 &quot;platform&quot; pieces off, it can easily be moved. (Mine is wood cemented together to make it sturdier, as I like to rearrange furniture.)

They are plastic. They slide well enough but the drawers are not sturdy enough to store anything heavy.

Plastic, but they actually work pretty well and slide smoothly. There is a glide on both sides of the drawers, not one cheap one on the bottom in the middle like some really junky sets.

Mine were metal with plastic rollers (clank, clank ;-))...but they could just as well be made of air and sunshine... the directions didn&#39;t correspond to mine and when I finally got them to the point the drawers would go in, they would not slide and the drawers would get pulled apart. I threw the drawers away and turned that side to face a wall, after I got tired of fairy lights. Still a good bed, drawers and mislabeled pieces/instructions only problem.

Yep it's a very good choice... will fit perfectly. There's also model 3259080 in chocolate finish and 3270080 in black finish

I would not recommend it because it is not sturdy at all. It looks cheap and it will damage easy because it is particle board, which is slighty stronger than cardboard. I would look for something of better quality. It will be worth the time, effort and money:)

Yes if he is of average size and weight. The base is very light weight and wouldn't hold up to jumping or horseplay. I wouldn't recommend more than 200 lbs for long term use.

Yes, as long as white works for the room color. I plan on painting some artistic details to make the bed fit the décor of my daughters room, I think that appliques or stickers would work just as well to make the bed suit the individual.

I am an adult, and a chubby one at that! I am 5&#39;1&quot; and weighed 180 ish when I got this 2 yrs ago. It has a heavy 8&quot; memory gel mattress on it, too. I stand on it and change the canopy curtains that hang from my ceiling, jump trying to squash the occasional spider in the corner. I have even snuggled up with another person on it, without issue. I will say that I took wood cement and reinforced the joints and fasteners. I don&#39;t think you will have any problems. I replaced 2 other metal daybeds/futons with this one. They were junk, this is so much better.
