Too much assembly time required This stand requires much time to assemble, especially for a novice. After working a couple of hours to put the drawers together, we turned over the last piece, the top of the cabinet, and there was a large gash in the side which occurred during shipment. Moral of the story: examine every piece before assembling. Fortunately, with the printed confirmation, the local Walmart took the damaged item back and we purchased another in that store. An Expensive Mistake This TV stand was a disaster to put together. Not only did the pieces not come with holes where the directions had holes placed, but the "wood" was a mess. It was already scuffed when removed from the box, and in simply moving it to the other side of the room, more scuffs appeared. And of course, since this is cheap particle board, very light "wood" showed up underneath, basically making the TV stand look old and already beaten in. The drawers were a disaster to put in, and never worked properly. We literally put nothing in the drawers for fear the whole thing will fall apart. What a disappointment. 10/18/2009
