    Great headboard!

The directions were pretty good- just have to make sure that the wood is all "face-down" b/c you need to put the screws in from the back. I have a queen-sized metal frame and had to go to Home Depot to purchase 4- 1 1/2" bolts, 8 flat washers, and 4 lock washers to fasten the headboard to my bed. Once it was done and mounted, it looks great!

I was pleasantly surprised with this headboard. It is very sturdy and looks great in my daughter's bedroom. It was easy to put together, but my only complaint is that they don't include the hardward to attach the headboard to the bed base.

I'm interested in buy this headboard but I'm not sure how I'm going to fix it. Should I buy the Platform Bed also? Thanks.
    by carolrpg
    • We bought the platform as well as the headboard, however, it does have holes for a metal frame to be bolted on. You just have to purchase your own bolts.

    • I attached to standard queen metal frame. Buy hardware. I think it attaches to platform bed also. Can be easily attached to wall, also.

    • I believe the platform bed is really the only option for attachment. This is not a solid wood construction so I think trying to convert it to a regular size frame will greatly weaken the posts to the headboard.

    • It may work better on a platform bed rather than on a normal bed frame. It is a bit wobbely on the frame I have it on but wobble does not disturb rest.

    • you dont need the platform you just have to go to the hardware store and get some bolt and connect the bolts to the medal bed frame

    • you do not need the platform bed. I have a standard full size bed and it fits great. this headboard is much better suited for a queen though.

I would like to attach the headboard to a metal frame, but I am worried about the 44" height with a box spring on the frame. Does anybody know if it will still work with a box spring or do I need to do away with it and have a mattress only. Thanks
    by Sleeper
    • We temporarily moved a box springs and mattress onto the platform while moving things around but bought a 10" Memory Foam mattress to go with it. It works with a box springs as well but looks better with just the mattress.

    • No problem, just need your own hardware to attach to frame.

    • I have a mattress and a box spring it is high, but you can still see the headboard

    • It attaches to metal frame, where the holes are. You,ll need hardware, bolts and nuts. I chose to leave on wheels of frame because of hardwood floors, so the headboard does not reach floor. Feld pads that usually go on the bottom of chairs, etc., worked well to stop wobble against wall.

    • I would not attach it. It is made for a platform bed and I think if you tried to bolt or screw it into a metal bed frame, that it would leave you with about ten inches of headboard.

    • Totally works with a box spring. We attached it to a standard metal frame... with a fullsize mattress and box spring. Its a beautiful piece of furniture. You will need (4) bolts, (4) nuts and (8) washers if you are attaching it to a frame. Quarter-inch bolts no more than 1-1/2inch in length.

    • The height from the floor to the bottom of the panel is 21". The total height of the headboard is 44".
