Rated 4 out of 5 by magnificentKYM Overall this dresser was a good buy. Upon purchase, the packaging was very heavy, over 100 lbs if I remember correctly, so if you plan on assembling it by yourself, as I did, you may want to have someone help you carry it to the location in which you wish to build it. The assembly was fairly easy, as long as you follow the instruction correctly, but it was also tedious. The dresser looked just as it appeared online, sleek and contemporary. The only con to this item is the drawer size, they are a little on the smaller side, but it works ok for me because I don’t share my dresser space with anyone else. (the comforter, decorative pillows & printer stand, which I use as a night stand, were also purchased @ Walmart.com) 06/15/2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by WallyWorld78 looks sharp Pain in the rear to put together. If you're not a handy person with decent tools, I don't know how'd you'd do this alone. My husband had to use special tools he had that most people don't have on hand. He's a mechanic so thankfully we were covered as far as tools. Took him about 90 minutes. Beware, there are extra pieces when you're done. Just nails/screws/etc. We only got this piece b/c honestly it was cheap & we couldn't afford a nicer piece from a furniture store. If we had the money we would've paid to have a put together piece delivered. 06/13/2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by dzinr4u Nice pieces for a starter set I bought the set that also includes the 4 drawer dresser and nightstand & it is a good value because it completes a room for one low price. I would NOT recommend these pieces for a room that gets a lot of use or abuse (ie: children) as the finish will surely be compromised even to the occasional beverage, sliding of books, toys, technology or other seemingly ordinary use. I'm using these pieces in my guest room which is only used occasionally. The assembly does require time and diligence in order to get a good result, so don't be in a hurry. Take your time, double check the illustrations & the parts listings, use good ol' common sense about which finished edges will be exposed and the assembly will go smoothly. All the hardware fit easily except the brackets that secure the drawers - these plastic pieces had to be forced into alignment. Tedious but certainly secure. I was actually impressed that, as "cheap" as the materials are (particle board, plastic glides, some cardboard pieces) it seems that extra supports and measures were provided for a very sturdy assembly. I love the styling and color -very dark but not black - and handles are actually metal and very secure. 06/10/2011
