I used the measurements off the specifications and thought to myself that must just be the size of the box before assembly. It is not. This is perfect if you need a little space or even a tv stand with drawers. All I got in it was my daughters pj's (summer in top and winter in bottom) and socks/undies. I had to hang up all her jeans and pants that were originally in her old dresser.Let me say on the good side, if this is the size your looking for it is very sturdy we have a ver heavy tv on top and it is strong and safe up there. Also the height is perfect for my 4 year old daughter she loves that she can open and see in every drawer. I would recommend this if you are looking for a small chest. 03/02/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by onlibekki very cute dresser This dresser is very sturdy and the drawers glide very smoothly. When I saw the plastic glides, I wanted to return it because it yelled "CHEAP", but that's not the case after I assembled it. The drawers slide very smoothly and very quietly. I LOVE IT! I just really wish there were more to this 'Smart Basics' collection. I don't want metal glides anymore after this dresser. The drawers are a little shallow, but that's not a big issue. 06/24/2010

The drawers are long, just not very deep, however that's not a problem because all of her clothes just about fit into it.The only negative thing I have to say about it is that the back of the dresser is just a thick piece of cardboard that you attach, it actually took me a while to realize this as I thought that this card was just part of the packaging - oops! Nevertheless, I will still recommend this product. 04/07/2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by jbSchmidt good product for money spent i was worried with the cheap price it may be poor quality. but am pleasently surprised. i didnt see a point in paying alot of money on a toddlers dresser, that she could possibly damage, with rnning toys into it, crayons, pen etc. it goes nice with the white sleigh toddler bed i just got my daughter from walmart as well. (in another review someone stated it had a bad smell for days...that is just the smell of wood. LOL so i guess if you hate the smell of wood, go buy some plastic drawers! :) 05/15/2012
