needs inside view pic Based on the picture I thought this was like an armoire that I could put my TV in, with a drawer underneath for DVDs, etc. So I was surprised and a little disappointed that there are actually 6 cubes inside. It worked out fine though and it looks great. But be prepared for millions of pieces! My advice- lay the pieces on a towel while putting this together, it will help keep your furniture from getting scratched up. Enjoy! 07/02/2007
We made it our own It's important to know that this product is full of shelves inside and is not really made to hold a TV or hanging clothes like a wardrobe.I actually needed a wardrobe to hang clothes in and Ikea did not have the dark brown color I was looking for. I saw the review saying it was far too low for a TV and that it had shelves inside so I figuered we could add a bar to hang clothes ourselves -- it worked out PERFECT.If you're not putting in the shelves on the inside then it actually doesn't take long to assemble. My husband did it in about two hours.The frame is sturdy, however I expect that with time the doors might become a problem because, while ours does close, they don't seem like they would stand up to tons of wear and tear.We used site to store pick up for free shipping and it came undamaged.It's not high quality furniture, but it looks nice. I'm planning to change out the hardware because it looks like office furniture to me with those handles on it.Overall review: We're changing the hardware, not using it for it's intended purpose, made our own modifications, and certainly don't intend to pass this down for generations cause it's probably going to last us 1-3 years...but the frame work this product offered us, in the color that we wanted, at a price thatt is what we wanted to pay for something that we expect to be temporary makes me give this a thumbs up. 03/30/2008
Good price for quality I bought this armoire as an additional closet, not knowing it comes with shelves instead. I was able to drill a hole in the divider, insert a closet rod, and convert it to a closet where I can hang more clothes. It works well and looks nice; it's also much sturdier than I thought it would be. Even with shipping costs, it was a good deal (I know - I shopped around for a month). 07/11/2007
Bargain Buy I am very happy with my purchase of this armoire, along with the matching headboard, bed stand, and dresser. All pieces contain what seems to be strong quality wood parts that look very nice as a finished product. I did have some issues with damaged pieces upon delivery. I contacted the people at South Shore, who are out of Canada so shipping takes forever, and they were very nice and very helpful. With out any hesitance they shipped me out replacements for the damaged pieces with out any extra charge. This occured with all of the pieces I ordered separately and individually except for the bed stand. *NOTE* When putting together any drawers, be sure to pay extra attention to getting them tightly hammered together during the initial assembly or you will have problems with them sliding properly. *NOTE* This furniture is not the same as the similar outfit that is sold and displayed in local Wal-mart stores. I am overall very happy with this furniture. Despite having to put them together manually, this furniture has been an excellent buy at an even more excellent price.
