Not what I thought After shopping around on-line and in-stores for a changing table (and reading reviews) we purchased this dresser/changing table on wal-mart.com. We were not looking to spend much for a product that we wouldn't need after a couple of years. Wal-mart had a great price and we used site to store shipping which saves you even more on shipping. There are a lot of pieces to put togeteher and the instructions are ok, but it takes a while to put it together, and I have assembled a lot of stuff and this item was too much for what it was. The color is not cherry, its more of a dark brown, so it will not match a true cherry wood stain/color. And it is made out of particle-board, which is not that sturdy, so be careful when you move it around (don't drag it). Good price, but I would spend a little more to get solid wood next time. Very Happy! After reading MANY reviews on MANY different changing table/dresser combos, we finally decided to purchase this one - and boy are we glad we did! Some of the reviews and the low price on this product made us think that it might not be good quality, but we're very satisfied with the quality. The drawers slide in and out very easily and my husband had no trouble assembling. The ONLY bad thing I have to say is that the color doesn't match our cherrywood crib exactly as it is a little more on the dark brown side, but it's close enough (and for this price, I really don't think I can complain at all!). I absolutely love the fact that there are drawers AND a cubby (I couldn't find this on any other product without spending at least double the price). We put a couple of baskets in the cubby and it is SO handy when doing a quick diaper change - no need to mess with drawers. The drawers are nice size. A standard changing pad fits on the top perfectly. I'm very satisfied with this product and highly recommend it! I'm so glad we didn't spend double the price for a similar product!Something I want to share... many people were telling us that we didn't need to waste the money on a changing table, as they hardly ever used one (they just changed diapers in the crib). But we figured for this price, it is WELL worth the money and we use it EVERYDAY. 08/03/2009
Sturdy - Nicer than appears I am a firm believer in these product reviews...after much research and countless times of reading these reviews I opted for this changing table...hoping that it really would be more of a rich cherry color than it appears to be on the site. IT IS SUCH A GREAT BUY! Very much a rich dark cherry color! We were given a crib by our friends and were worried that it wouldn't match - it's PERFECT! The height is wonderful - I'm 5'2". Good, sturdy, solid and gorgeous piece of furniture that can be used later in our little boy's life! highly recommend - directions have 24 steps...but my hubby was able to get it together. Roomy drawers and the open part is perfect for baskets - and not just the small ones! So happy with this! Our baby is due in March and can't wait to put this to use! 12/05/2008
:) beautiful && sturdy <3 Initially, I was a bit concerned after reading reviews of the product being damaged or missing parts, but could not pass up the price.It was shipped site-to-store FREE while a competitor was overpriced, didn't have the Royal Cherry in stock, and did not offer free shipping.It was not damaged, or missing any parts. It was assembled quickly and is quite sturdy. I love the color and it is a perfect match to the crib.The changing pad (bought separately) is an exact fit.I am extremely happy with this purchase.(P.S. not a great pic, but it is beautiful is better lighting)~Satisfied mommy 05/06/2011
