Sony SA-W3000 12" Powered Subwoofer 13 15
Love it needs better pricing I purchased this about three weeks ago Very impressed. I originally paired this with the Sony STR-DH810 had a problem with the HDMI out on the receiver cutting out. Returned it for the STR-DH820 Which supports two sub woofers. I think my family and neighbors would kill me if I added the second SubwooferCHECK WALMARTS PRICES BEFORE BUYING I found the Receiver 100.00 less and return the 820 to Walmart for the 100.00 savings ( Walmart would not match the price) This is why it is 4 stars not 5 and considered doing the same on the subwoofer because I found it for about 40.00 less else where.Once set up. This is a awsome system for my needs ROCKS the house. 03/08/2012
Not sure what to think so far I bought this unit to replace a previously purchased unit of the same size, power and brand that I bought at Best Buy more than 3 years ago. The doors would rattle with the best buy unit so I had to turn the power down on it - with this one with it fully cranked it doesn't make near that much bass. I'm not sure if the movies and songs I've been playing have less bass than years ago or if the sub just isn't as good as the best buy unit. It's only been like 3 weeks. 11/25/2011
Great Value I listened to the 10-inch version at Best Buys. Based on other reviews I bought this one, the 12-incher. It has excellent sound for the money, and integrated perfectly with my new Sony receiver. No discernable distortion even near max. power. And how could you possibly go wrong, since Walmart's outstanding 90-day return policy has you covered if you don't like it. 11/04/2010
Great product with deep bass I bought this to replace a ten year old Aiwa subwoofer because I wanted to have the 12" woofer and to match the other speakers in my system. The unit is solidly built and matches the other items in my setup, I really like the fact that it has the ability to chain multiple units together so if you have a receiver that only has one sub out you can add another sub with out using a y adapter. The one gripe I have is that you have to turn up the level to 3/4 to even notice the bass. My old Aiwa unit would put out the same amount of bass just under the half way mark. That is the only thing that prevents me from giving it 5 stars. I will say the the bass is deep and sounds really good, it has that deep boom that I was looking for that the old woofer just couldn't do. Also you might as well turn the auto off to just off, as listening at low levels the subwoofer cuts off and is really annoying. I have this sub with the SS-F7000 towers, SS-CN5000 center and SS-B1000 surrounds hooked up to the STRDA4600ES receiver and 55" KDL-55HX729 TV. 04/12/2012
