With the Sony ICDBX112 Digital Voice Recorder, recording notes is now a breeze. This flash voice recorder has a Voice Operated Recording feature, which automatically starts and stop recording depending on the sound level. This unique feature saves recording time by not recording periods when there is no or little sound. You can store up to 500 hours of maximum recording time with this 2GB digital voice recorder. Use the A-B repeat feature in this recorder to mark the beginning and ending of a particular passage that you want to listen again and again. Four recording modes allow you to capture voices in different frequencies. You can also set the microphone sensitivity depending on where you are using it. Another interesting feature of this Sony digital voice recorder is the alarm that you can set at a future date for automatic recording. No transfer.... I bought the with the assurance that it used MP3 files that were easily transferrable to my computer. I used it, but cannot get the information off, let alone easily. This unfortunately really limits the utility of the device for most purposes. Beware. 02/11/2012
Good Recorder When I purchased this recorder I assumed that all recorders have an option to upload to the computer, this one doesn't. You would be able to seperately purchase a cable if you wish to to this, there are forums online about the process. On a positive note, there are multiple features that are easy to use such as dividing recordings, multiple folders, time and date settings, and a hold button so that you don't accidentally record over previous recordings by accident. If you are looking for a product to upload your recordings, look around a bit more, but if you want this for record and play this product is perfect. 01/10/2012
GREAT PRODUCT I JUST BOUGHT THIS RECORDER AT STAPLES. BATTERIES WERE INCLUDED, SO I GOT TO USE IT RIGHT AWAY. IT HAS MANY FEATURES THAT I MAY NOT USE, BUT IT IS NICE TO KNOW THEY ARE INCLUDED. I WILL BE LOOKING INTO GETTING THE BATTERY CHARGER, BECAUSE I HAVE WALKIE TALKIES THAT USE THE SAME TYPE OF "AAA" HIMH BATTERIES. I LIKE THE 5 FOLDER FEATURE, SO I CAN SEPERATE MY DIFFERENT USES I HAVE IN MIND. THE MENU & INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT HARD TO FOLLOW, & THEY WERE ALL IN ENGLISH. THE LONG BATTERY LIFE IS REALLY A PLUS. MANY FEATURES & A GREAT PRICE, WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR. 01/07/2012
