    I bought the Sony 60W soundbar at first and got it on sale for only $99 at Target but ended returning it because it wasn't loud enough for me and got this Sony 300W sound bar instead from Walmart. This is one of the best soundbars for the money, great sound coming from the bass and plenty loud. Setting up took me less than a minute, one optical cable from the TV to the soundbar and the subwoofer is wireless. You can't go wrong with a Sony product, buy it, you'll love it.

    I have owned this sound bar for less than two months. Although I am very pleased with the sound quality of this item, I am very disappointed that my remote quit working within such a short time of ownership. To make sure it was not just the battery I replaced it with a new one. It still would not operate. I then checked Sony’s website for troubleshooting help. It suggested that I take the battery out and push every button on the remote twice. It still did not work. I then went to my registered products on the Sony page and contacted Sony for help. My sound bar is still under warranty, but their response was for me to buy a new remote through one of their authorized parts distributors. I hope that no one else will have the problem that I did, but if you do be prepared to buy a new remote because the sound bar is useless without it especially when placed high.

    I got this to have a more emursive experience with my new Xbox one. Let me say that when i took this sound system out of the box it was set up in less then 5 minutes. Honestly a 7 year old can set this up. It's very simple and WOW do you get your bang for a buck! The sound was outstanding and I felt like I was there for whatever i was watching or playing. The bass is amazing and is usually the do or die part of a system i look for. If this were a Bose product which it's not but just as good, it would have been priced around 350 bucks. This is definitely a buy!

    I have been a Sony loyalist for 30 years. I've had Walkmans, stereos, VHS/CD players and currently have 3 Sony trinitrons. I bought this sound bar and a 50"r450 bravia to replace my 36" HD Trinitron that died. Bad idea, the new TV and sound bar don't hold a candle to my old TV. The reviews for the sound bar were overwhelmingly great. I disagree. I thought Bose systems were bass heavy but this sound bar is extreme. Even with the bass turned all the way down, its still overpowering. With an iPod hooked up and the volume maxed it not very loud at all! Thought I could use it as a stereo, not a chance. The sound on just my old TV way much better than the whole soundbar. I have it unplugged and its now just a dust collector. I was a huge Sony fan, but not anymore. These new products just don't compare to the old ones. I think I'm moving on to another brand, I've had good luck LG appliances, think I'll go that route next

    Easy to hookup, the subwoofer is wireless using Bluetooth technology i do believe. The sound quality is amazing. We hooked it to a new 55" smart TV and...WOW. Fantastic sound quality and fits neatly on our TV stand.

    Am using this sound bar to replace a 5.1 system of 80 watts per channel. At first I thought there was too much bass, but then I noticed that the center section of the bar's remote control has a button labeled amp that will allow you to change the subwoofer level. Mine was set a +2 and I lowered it to 0 and bass is now perfect for me.

    I received this sound bar and sub-woofer last Feb as a gift and I was originally very please. But as time went on the item began to fail like all other Sony products I have purchased in recent years. The sound quality was great for the price and was wonderful for movies and playing music through and the sub made a huge and wonderful impact. In the recent months the bluetooth sub has been cutting out while watching movies and completely shutting off (Power still on) while streaming music through via bluetooth, AUX adapter, provided cable, and HDMI cable. As soon as I try to adjust the volume of the sub woofer it cuts out and provides no bass from the sub. I have had no help with Sony customer service as their only suggestion was to not turn up the speaker too loud. Kind of defeats the purpose to me. I have slowly began throwing away my Sony products and replacing them with different manufacturers because the last 4 out of 4 Sony products I have purchased have failed within 6-12 months. Very disappointed, I do NOT recommend anything Sony to anyone....unless you want to throw away your money.

    I have had this sound bar for almost 1 month. I have been completely satisfied! My wife gave me a sound bar for Father's Day this year to accompany our new Sony Bravia. It was a Philips sound bar with wireless sub. I was impressed with the sound, but even when hooked up through HDMI ARC, the picture was never in sync with the audio and the audio sync adjustment on the sound bar could not correct it. in addition, the sub would intermittently cut out during movie or tv playback. I took it back after a week and bought the Sony. OH MY WORD AT THE DIFFERENCE! if I want, the bass will lift me up off the floor! Voices are clear, audio is in sync always, sub is constant, setup is easy & choices are abundant. I also love that there is a nighttime setting that cuts the bass down and brings out the voices clearly so as not to disturb others. Bass is still full and completes the sound field, but is not punchy. I have been very impressed with this purchase and would highly recommend this sound bar to anyone. Sony has a reputation for quality, and this seems to match the quality of the other Sony products that I own.

    Only had it for a week and the bass keeps cutting out. Not worth 200 bucks. I know it's not top of the line but when charging this much it shouldn't have issues.
