The Sony HDR-CX210 HD Flash Memory Camcorder offers 1920 x 1080 resolution, letting you record your memories in exceptional Full HD quality. This versatile Sony flash camcorder is capable of 60i recording, as well as playback via HDMI and compatible HDTVs for incredibly detailed and smooth images. The blue camcorder's built-in 8GB memory can record and store up to three hours of high definition video footage. Plus, you'll experience stunning low-light sensitivity with improved image clarity and drastically reduced grain with Sony's back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor. Designed for compact cameras and camcorders, the Exmor R CMOS sensor relocates the photo diodes above the support circuitry, maximizing the light gathering area per pixel — so you can shoot with better results in lower lighting conditions. This HD flash memory camcorder also features SteadyShot image stabilization with Active Mode. Note: Memory card not included. Purchase of a memory card is highly recommended.

Rated 1 out of 5 by DJLayZ Surprisingly disappointed I've been a long term Sony fan, I've always loved the Handycam series of camcorders but unfortunately this is a step down for me, I was excited to see this camera, as on paper it seems amazing, low light enhancement, face tracking abilities, wow this camera seemed exciting.I've been using this camera for just two days, I wanted to give it a fair go, but I will be returning this as soon as I finish this review.There are come pros, so let me explain them all brieflyCons.1. Noisy zoom: When you are zooming in and out, you here a noticeable whine upon playback, which is especially noticeable and annoying when you're shooting a quiet scene, like some birds or quiet conversation. This was NOT noticeable at all all in the HDR-CX110 model, so very disappointed to find it appear now. See attached video demonstration.2. Inside shots are incredible grainy: When indoors, the video is EXTREMELY grainy. Turning on the low lux-mode just enhances the grain. In researching this I found this is probably the cause of the reduced size CMOS sensor than in previous models. Unacceptable when you buy a HD camera looking for crisp video quality. Comparing the video quality to my ten year old Panasonic MiniDV camera, sure the detail is higher but the grains stand out many times more. See attached video demonstration.3. Photo mode is terrible: Photos taken with the camera even on the highest quality setting are terrible. They look blotchy almost, it's hard to explain, but end up looking like a photo taken on an early model camera phone! See attached demo photo, outside was not any better.Pros1. Outdoor video quality: This is stunning, outside with sunlight, even at dusk, is exceptional.2. High frame rate: The 60i frame rate capture is fantastic! Very very VERY smooth.3. Face tracking: Works great, to keep the subject in focus.4. Audio quality: spectacular capture of audio (minus the unwanted addition of zoom noise)In summary I wouldn't recommend this, very sad to say, I was honestly hoping for more from Sony. 06/03/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Naturegirl LOVE THIS CAMCORDER! We bought this camcorder after discovering that my old recorder was not capatable with my laptop. I wanted something to capture every moment of our new baby. After reading some of the reviews, I was not too sure it we made the right decision, but having used this camcorder we found that it takes really great video. Highly recommend this product. 03/08/2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by neophyte333 screen broke IT was great until I touched the screen to take a picture and it had a great hoels in it surrounded by what looked like cracked glass. This was all on the inside as the screen itself was intact and so was the lens. There should be a great warning about this although I was not using in a different way than i had since I purchased it. It is now in the Laredo repair center for a week. I wonder how long it will take to get back to me ? Still the pictures are great and they work on my computer once I fingured out what soft ware to use. IF you erase the pictures from the camera memory, it may be ver hard to move the pictures from one computer to another.... 09/18/2012

At this point I finally can create discs but cannot edit on the computer. I have had to downloan other programs just to create discs. 07/08/2012
