Rated 1 out of 5 by Rodrigo33 Not worth the price I've bought this player in the store located in Orlando, FL. It costed me U$94.First of all it's written in the box that it is wi-fi compatible so you'll think it has built-in wireless device. I found out that it's worth to buy another player with built-in wireless device, since the only usb wireless adapter that this player recognizes it's sony's, and it costs U$79. The only USB port the player has will be always busy with the wireless adapter.I have tried to play few files with .avi format but it just doesn't play it. The only file I was able to play was a .mp4 but the player also can't play the subtitle along with the movie.I deeply regret of buying this player 'cause now I'll just use it to play videos on youtube and will use the other regular dvd player to play my video files I download from the internet.Don't buy it! 02/20/2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by brad1234567 Sony Bologna This is long but worth reading, great blu-ray player, the blu-ray format and sound is great and worth the money, upconverts normal dvds to a much better picture, some free content, this works on 2.5 mbps "3 mbps claimed by dsl" 10 mbps is preferred=cable, netflix you can only play and pretty much no rewind or fastforward "jumps about a minute at a time", you cannot rate movies on here. invest in a $60 to $100 ROKU netflix player for many movies displayed by genre and the serch feature and also 2 second frame forward or back, slow and fast, youtube is fun on here, THIS UNIT IS NOT WIFI READY $60 FOR THE USB ADAPTER, IF YOUR WIRED LIKE ME YOU'LL BE FINE, the measurements are wrong in the item descrription, it is quite a bit smaller, built pretty tough, only gets warm not hot, should last a while, my father bought a more expensive model and i don't know why it is more expensive probly cause it is just wireles, now i know to buy the cheepest player cause the eye laser can burn for only so long"5 to 10 years maybe?" 01/23/2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by Jbarryb Pain to setup Netflix Access I bought this device primarily for Netflix access. I already have 3 others and this is the first that requires you to set up an account at Sony for product registration, including all of your contact information, before they will give you the code necessary to activate the device on your NetFlix account. I bought the device yesterday and the Sony site is still down so no Netflix yet. I'll pick another brand next time. 02/06/2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by movienutextreme the worst..Do not buy this This player had multiple problems..when you start the tv show or movie the picture does not appear for 4-5 seconds and you have to rewind to the beginning.2.during program picture would sometimes go to black for several seconds then picture would reappear (not a scene with a fade out-in) 3..Picture would jump then A/V would be out of sync. Picture would look like it was in slo-mo or like a badly dubbed film you would see actors lips moving, then hear the voices a couple of seconds later.Thought perhaps it was doing this because it was dropped in store,so returned and rebought same model from a different Wal-Mart and it did the same thing. Do Not Buy This !! 01/20/2011
