Battery life is a bit short. I found the same batteries-- Walmart doesn't carry the extra batteries, on Amazon. The NP BN-1 battery is compatible. Just to be sure I gave you the correct letters, go to Best Buy's website. They have a feature where you can type in the camera type and it will tell you which batteries matched. I found a well reviewed PAIR of batteries that came with a wall charger with international attachment plug. It also had a car charger. I remember the whole deal was 20-35 dollars. I don't remember the amount sorry. Those batteries---BY FAR exceed the life of the Sony battery that came with the camera. Always good to have extra batteries. :). The additional batteries are much faster to charge also.by ViPa6/4/2013Was this answer helpful? (1) (0)Was this answer helpful?

It is difficult to provide an exact life expectancy of the battery. The battery life is limited. Battery capacity decreases over time and through repeated use. If decreased usage time between charges becomes significant, it is probably time to replace it with a new one. The battery life varies according to how it is stored and the operating conditions and environment in which each battery pack is used. Follow the guidelines below to take care of a rechargeable battery and improve its life expectancy: • Do not expose the battery pack to water; the battery is not water-resistant. • Do not leave the battery pack in extremely hot places, such as in a car or under direct sunlight. • Store the battery in a cool, dry place if it is not going to be used for a long time. • Charge the battery and use it at least once a year to maintain proper function.by SonyListens1/14/2013Written by a verified representative from SonyListensWas this answer helpful?
