Beauty and Function The Somerset configuration (desk + credenza) was easy to assemble. I use a laptop, so the tower cabinet is wasted space; I wish they would give a couple of shelves to facilitate alternative use. Also put a small rolling cabinet next to the file draw for some extra storage. My only other improvement would be a small flourescent tublar light fixture on underside of hutch cabinet; the desk's workspace can easily get dark on the eyes. Doning it overe, I'd buy the two units again. Also store delivery was a snap. 07/07/2009
Great compliment to desk This hutch is a great compliment to either the l shaped desk or the straight desk. Took about 2 hours to assemble. The cardboard backing is garbage though. I ended up putting the cardboard backing only on the upper part of the hutch where the shelves and cabinets are. The lower part of the hutch I left open to the wall for two reasons. One, the cardboard backing looks horrible. Two, the cutouts for cords are only in certain places and limits where wires can be run. Overall though, very happy with the hutch. 06/01/2010
Nice finish This collection was easy to assemble and looks nice. I had moved and was able to partial disassemble the desk and it survived the trip. Other DIY desks I've owned could not be taken apart without damage. 04/28/2011
