Fist of all let me say I just got this yesterday . I can only speak from my experience so far . I saw all the bad reviews before buying it but they only had 2 at the store n they were both this brand . I needed one right then so I went ahead n got it thinking that if I had to I would just return it . It has a lifetime warranty so I wasn't to worried . Anyway here are the pro's , it's large , it's soft n bendable ( which is very nice for my shoulder pain ), controls are easy , long cord , washable , looks nice and it gets very hot . So far I have no complaints , I really like it and it works well . Maybe the people who gave it bad reviews just got defective ones by a fluke . If you can afford to , I say go for it . The worst that can happen is you have to return it . Just save your box n reciept .

The last one we bought endured about 5 years despite being used every single day by a rather heavy person twisting and crunching on it continually. The oft-reported problem of non-functionality with the indicator light blinking occurs if you plug the cord into the wall outlet *before* plugging the other end of the cord into the heating pad. But if you do that, nothing is broken; just unplug the cord and do it the other way, and then everything should be fine. That's what I found.

This very reasonably priced heating pad is great! It has a 10 foot cord (instead of 6-9' on others), 4 heat settings (instead of 3) and the timer lasts an hour (instead of 30 minutes)! The large soft quilted pad heats quickly, easily wrapping around my leg, arm or across back. The only reasons I deducted for meeting expectations are: 1. No removable cover. Just unplug connection and toss in washer. Since I personally don't want to get the pads inner wiring wet, I was going to reuse a cover from a similar model but...2. The pad is about 1.5" longer than the listed 24"! Overall I'm a happy Buyer and feel I got a great value!

I purchased this heating pad, and when I plugged it up it did not work. I read the details about the heating pad, and it said to plug into a 220 volt outlet. Most people only have 220 volt outlets in their laundry room or garage not in every room. The standard outlet is 110. Please help if no response will take back to store. I just recently purchased.

    • It sounds like you got one intended for sale in the UK or elsewhere in Europe. This is fine in a standard 110 outlet as long as you have the one's intended for use/sale in the US.

    • did you buy this in the US? If so it should be a 110 not 220. Take it back to the store maybe they got a wrong shipment somewhere.

    • You cannot plug it into the wall first. You must attach the cord to the heating pad. Then plug it into the wall. The voltage can be accommodated with a power surge protector.

    • You shouldn't need a 220 volt outlet.Works with a standard wall outlet.

    • Any mention of 220 volts has gotta be a misprint. As I'm sure you know, 220-volt plugs look entirely different. My heating pad worked great but I found that it didn't work at all unless I plugged the cord into the wall AFTER attaching the pad to the cord. Maybe that's the problem. Try making the plugging into the wall the final step and see if that corrects it.

    • This would be the first time in over 20 years of myself using heating pads of all kinds of makes and models and ever hearing of a heating pad need to plug into a 220 outlet,I personally believe it may have been defective.yes, take it back, even if it requires 220 outlet it seems to me it would be way to expensive to operate.
