Rated 4 out of 5 by onearmymom For VERY determined/focused children Truthfully...I bought this for myself, I am an avid DIY'er and I know a bit about electricity(hang ceiling fan,change light switch,repair a lamp cord etc.)but can't grasp the whole omhn's law, circut board thing. So I thought if I actually laid it out and 'Snapped' it all together maybe I'll begin to get a better understanding of it and I still think I will, however, there needs to be lots of discussion to keep any real interest. The parts are well made, instructions are easy enough, just not alot of detail as to why and how and what if. You really need a strong interest already to enjoy this kit and also a mentor with more than intermediate skills. So Dad if you want them to get anything more than 'I snapped A to B, and B to C and the little light came on', be prepared to have your electrical theory thinking cap on! Fun, but not for children under 12 07/26/2010
