This sharpener is awesome. Wanted portable and durable sharpener and I got it. Sharpened all kitchen knives to razor edge easily. Well worth the money. 06/08/2009
Its a steel, not a stone This works well to restore the edge to an already sharp knife with a few LIGHT strokes. It isn't meant to sharpen a dull blade. Its a steel, not a stone. You can wear it out if you use force. But a few light strokes will have your knife cutting like a razor! 11/12/2010
Lousy This "steel" wore out by 15 uses. It became as smooth as glass and just as useless to sharpen a knife. I went back to the steel steel. 03/25/2010
