Rated 5 out of 5 by patrick58 Outstanding product for cats We just had new carpeting installed, and had to make sure our cats would not sharpen their claws on it. So, I ordered 2 of these, one for upstairs, one for downstairs. The cats go wild for these, and go back to them time and time again, preferring these to our carpeting. Great entertainment for them, too. One dear senior cat goes to it often, and gets exercise with it. Excellent value! 12/17/2010

She takes naps on it... he scratches it all the time and then looks at us, as if to say, I'm a good boy! The only issue we have is the pieces of cardboard scatter all around, especially after its starting to wear out. We have tried other scratch post, but he refused to use any that we have tried, so we end up buying yet another. 11/30/2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by oddduck Great Product I have bought many of these. My older cat won't use the scratcher until I take away all the cardboard packaging from the actual scratcher. I don't know why he just won't touch it otherwise. Therefore, if you find that your cat won't use it then I would suggest taking it out of the box itself. Yes, it makes a mess but like most others said it is a small price to pay for saving your furniture. The finicky cat does not like the catnip that comes with it so I don't have to deal with the mess. I guess I just have a really picky cat. 10/30/2010

It gets little cardboard flakes on the carpet but that's easy enough to get up with the vacuum. And the best part is that when it gets to torn up for them to use anymore it can be recycled since its made of corrugated cardboard. 10/09/2010
