Item Description
This clever, refillable scratcher-case (or "pod") made of recycled plastic houses a textured scratch pad made of recycled cardboard that cats will love tearing into thanks to a stash of SmartyKat Certified Organic Catnip. Can be used as a floor scratcher, hung from a door handle or mounted against a wall or other vertical surface for an inclined angle. When the pad becomes worn, simply open the pod and flip the pad over to the other side. Replace the pad with a SmartyKat ScratchPod Insert (sold separately).

SmartyKat ScratchPod Refillable Scratch System 2 2
This is great for cats who like to eat cardboard! We have bought the completely cardboard Smarty Kat scratchers often. Our kitties like to eat cardboard.. and they would tear the cardboard casing to shreds. When I saw this in the store with the plastic casing it was PERFECT! It might be a little expensive for what it is, but in all reality it was only $7 because the interior refill is about $4 at my store. So, I guess it's not that bad especially since it will save us a huge mess and it makes the scratcher a little nicer in our living room. 06/29/2011
Excellent Product! I just purchased one of these today. I have 7 cats. There's almost a FIGHT to see who can get to it first! They love it! I've tried other cat scratchers but this one is great! I just ordered 3 more online. Be sure to note that they offer refills for the scratcher which is also a very big plus. 12/18/2011
