Rated 5 out of 5 by LiveLoveLaughInMD So far so good I was leary of how comfortable a rolled up compressed mattress could be, but after reading so many favorable reviews decided to try it. My son only needs it for a few years for college. I had it shipped to the Walmart store near the house he'd be renting (across the country). After we arrived at his new temporary home, we picked up the mattress. The rectangular box was definitely easier to transport and get into the house than a full sized mattress. My son was able to left and carry the box by himself and it fit through hallways and doorways easily. When we removed it from the box, we had to laugh at how compressed it was. It was like a 1-2" pancake. I was surprised as it does have coils and the coils are wrapped. As soon as we removed it from the box it started to inflate - quickly! We had to move fast to get the plastic off and it didn't seem to take more than a minute to fully inflate. It immediately seemed very firm, even on the edges. I bought a foam mattress topper just in case it needed a little added comfort. My son has been sleeping on it for nearly a week now and says it is very comfortable. He is around 6'1" and 180 pounds. This was a huge savings (with a metal mattress frame) over a traditional mattress and box spring, and is a nice option for an affordable new mattress (over buying a used one - yuck, who wants to do that). So far it seems like a perfect solution for a college student's short term need. It was also nice to look at, with the quilted top and white surface, with no shoddy seams or loose threads or discoloration or anything. Great value and high approval so far. 08/19/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by cuzz45 great matress at a super price. I was a bit skeptical when the mattress first arrived. From the packaging, I couldn't imagine it being a queen sized mattress. Once I followed the instructions and cut away the packaging and the straps, I was totally amazed at how this thing fluffed itself up into a queen sized mattress. The coil springs make this one of the most comfortable sleeps I've had in many years. 08/18/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Vi0leta Very Comfortable, Good Value This is the first mattress I've ever purchased for myself, and I'm really very happy with it-- despite the fact that this mattress came in a box, it's very comfortable. It arrived on time through Site-to-Store in a box that's easily carried by one individual (unless that individual has T-Rex arms, I suppose). You open the box, place the bed on your desired surface, unravel some protective wrapping, and then just use a pair of scissors to cut the plastic wrap (which keeps the bed vacuum-sealed). The bed inflates pretty much instantly (not at an alarming rate or anything, it just sort of swells), and according to the packaging you're supposed to give it up to 48 hours to reach its full size, but it's ready to sleep on right away, and any additional inflation needed should really just be for aesthetic purposes. Overall, this mattress is a good value, simple to pick up and "assemble", and very comfortable. Definitely recommended. 08/18/2012
