Perfect stool to keep in the kitchen.

I'd been looking for a stool that was the right height to use at my kitchen island when I had a lot of food prep to do. Up until I found this one, I could only find them with 24" high seats. This stool's seat is 30" high, making it perfect to sit at a counter and chop vegetables, etc. I worried a bit that it might not be sturdy, because of the low price, but it is fine. I also appreciate the fact that it folds compactly enough to fit conveniently into my pantry.

Great for my face painting jobs!

I bought this to use at my face painting jobs as it's easy to fold and put in my car to take from job to job. This chair is also helping put the kids/clients up at my level so I'm no longer bending over hurting my neck & shoulders as I was in folding card table chairs. The chair is sturdy and well made (solid) and I'm impressed especially for the value!

Great folding chair for the price

I bought this stool for a trade show where I needed to be standing most of the time, but wanted to sit occasionally and not feel like I was "relaxing" or being inattentive to potential customers. The show wanted $207 to rent a tall stool for 3 days, so I bought this one for about $40 figuring even if it fell apart after one use, I still saved $167. But the stool is fairly sturdy while also being compact and easy to fold and transport. It also looks nice. Because it was so inexpensive, I didn't feel at all bad about spray painting it and covering the seat to match my company colors. Everyone at the show got a kick out of that, so an added bonus to saving money was all the fun I had joking about my chair.

There are 2 folding bar stools I am looking at the Crossbar back and the Slat back... I keep reading how sturdy the one with the cross bar back is, but no one asked about either of them being comfortable. Want to order one to help me not have to stand for long periods in the kitchen etc, due to bad back. Just curious if they are as comfortable as they seem to be sturdy by the reviews. Would really appreciate any feed back. Thanks

  • Seem very comfortable. I got the slat backs because they will be at the lake where it is very dusty and I didn't want to clean the cross bar design

  • My 30 inch stool is very comfortable. If the slats are too hard, you could always add a pad or pillow.

  • I don't think it would work well in the kitchen as you would need to lean back to actually be resting on the back of the chair.

  • I wouldn't want to lounge around it in or watch tv. If you are looking for comfort, you might want to try one that swivels. I bought it just to perch on during trade shows and didn't expect comfort.

  • This is a very comfortable stool. The padding on the seat is cushioned. I am short so I can not reach the bottom rung, It would be great for a long legs. Overall the chair is a good buy. Had it shipped right to mny door.

  • I think this stool would suit your needs. You would probably need a small pillow for your back.

  • It might be okay for your purpose, however, the crossbar is so low on the chair that my 6' tall father cannot reach it with his feet while sitting. His legs dangle.

  • Its probably not too heavy, but the length could be a problem when moving it around in a home. The 30" seat height means this is over 3 ft long when carried sideways like a child would probably try to carry it.

  • It is very light but tall so it would depend how tall the child is.

  • The chair is not very heavy, but it is long. A kid that is not too small could carry it, not a five year old. Even a bigger kid might bash it into things, but it's fairly sturdy. I don't think it weighs 5 pounds.

  • It depends on how little the kid is. It's not heavy.

  • It is easy for an adult. It may be too tall for some children. Teens no problem.

  • Not sure about a little kid--the stools are fairly tall, so it might be more of a height issue. They aren't heavy, though.

  • How old is your kid? A teenager can carry it, but not a smaller child. The stools are made of metal which have weight to them.
