Ten millennia have passed since you and the few survivors of the once mighty Vasari Empire fled from an unknown threat that all but exterminated your kind. You now find yourself at the fringe of the galaxy in a sector occupied by a pathetically primitive species - one obsessed with trade and lacking any central organization or military technology. Use your mastery of phase-space manipulation, gravity and nano-technology to quickly eliminate any local resistance and acquire the necessary resources to fuel the next segment of your continuing exodus.

    Pros: if you ever wanted a large fleet space combat RTS this is it. you need a bunch of hours to kill this will do it and you wont be all that bored. the times youll remember from playing SOASE will be when you and the computer meet in glorious battle maxed out fleet vs maxed out fleet for a battle for some useless asteroid. ive been in battles that i timed at 30 min. i saw someone else complaining in their comment that the computer just destroys them. im still trying to figure out how. ive actually thought that the computer was too easy.Cons: well the most obvious is the lack of a storyline even ill admit that it could use one. the gameplay can feel slow at the beginning but it should be your building a fleet of thousands of ships from literally nothing.all in all its a very overlooked classic. does it have problems? of course but its a game that you will play over and over again enjoying every minute. 04/29/2011
    Not what I thought, My expectations about this game would be better than Starcraf 2, but I was mislead. The benefits was the very detailed of the ship and logitics you got to construct. I started to play and there not really a storyline. The downside was with teams you still could lose and not be able to win. Like Sim City 4, there is not a complete way to win. If you are a user that wants to build your fleet up slow, the AIs does not care. The AI will construct their fleet fast and wipe you off befoe you can build a new one up. The damage system is weak as well as your ships moving very slow. To be honest, I can not see how this game was many awards. Developers needs to look at other RTS like Company of Heroes, Command and Conquer, and Starcraft series to know you need a storyline. I wish they made a story to understand and made better improvements before releasing this game.I should have bought Star Craft 2. 11/01/2010
