Good karaoke machine for a beginner. The Karaoke Machine SML 383, is a great little karaoke machine. I was very pleased how the karaoke was packaged and I could tell right away that it was a brand new karaoke machine and in great shape.Because I personally needed something with a digital voice changer, to change the key some music is played in, I returned the karaoke SML 383, for the SMG 901.I preferred the SML 383 over the SMG 901, because of how nice it played and how it looked. It just wasn't enough machine for what I needed it for.I have nothing but good to say about the SML 383. But it is important to remember that it isn't a machine for professional usage. I do not support that it is a kid's machine, as I could very well see that it could bring much enjoyment to anyone who wanted to use it as a home karaoke machine, for fun and entertainment. I would rather express the SML 383 as an entry level karaoke machine, for those wanting to have fun and learn karaoke.I thought the SML 383 had a great microphone and with the balance of the master volume and the microphone volume plus the echo, I could see nothing wrong with the microphone. And when it is plugged into the television with the RCA cables, along with the speakers on the television, the karaoke machine did great, it had great volume; it's a great little karaoke machine.I would recommend this SML 383 for any persons wanting an entry level karaoke experience. 04/04/2012
