I was surprised when I couldn&#39;t get any info thru singer website and then after some research on my own I found two products. Amazon carry the adapter but shipping wasn&#39;t free and I wanted to test the product so I didn&#39;t go for it. Walmart has gotten couple but as I didn&#39;t have to pay shipping I ordered two products and one turned out to be the right one! Rhino 800mA AC Adapter.. Just set it to 6v with positive tip polarity. Now finally I can try the sewing machine and see myself if it really works!

To the Singer Rep: can you be specific on the type of adaptor is needed because 6V 800ma 3.5mm jack stereo style can&#39;t be found anywhere whereas the 6V 800ma 3.5mm car power cable style is, both have a different pin.

Yes, leave 2 inches of thread and tie the end of stitch to avoid the stitch from unraveling.

On the underside there are loops and you pull one of the loops out. I used the treading tool to help tie it off.

How do you tie off the ends of the stitch if there is only one thread?

Yes, it can. The adapter cord is not included with the machine, but there is a port on the side of the apparatus that will accommodate one. The adapter specs are:
DC 6V/800mA.  This is a common specification and you might have one already!

The only thing i had problem was knowing how to close the stich. i had to youtube it. other than that it works fine. i used it to make my medical uniform into skinnys. I am well pleased with this product. i plan to use it for other things like making nivitation cards for holidays. Its small so its easy to store and I know where to find it. For the price like this cant beat it since the Walmart nearby me was out of stock. it came 1 week later. Overall im happy with this. Pretty soon i shall buy a bigger one, but if your looking for a quick project its worth it just remember to buy 4 double A (AA) batteries, the package didnt come with one. THANK YOU SINGER !

Great for first timers like myself. and very easy

A sewing machine can be big, heavy, etc. This product is portable, it literally fits in your hand! Using this machine was new to me but after a few times I can now make really good use of it for all kinds of sewing issues.

Good product and easy to use.

Purchased as a gift for a man who does a lot of hand sewing. Doesn't own a regular
sewing machine. Can't afford to purchase one for him. Thought this one would help get a few sewing jobs done.

Perfect for what it was needed for!

I bought this for my 8 year old daughter who loves to design and make outfits for her dolls. I didn't want to get her a sewing machine yet and other "kids" sewing machines got terrible reviews. This is easy for her to use, and she loves it!! Before she was using string and tape to put the outfits together. Now she can actually sew them together! Best idea ever!!

Perfect sewing starter

I am horrible when it comes to sewing, especially with the big machines, but this little thing is pretty awesome! It's pretty much dummy proof, but it does take about 5 minutes to get used to it, but the stitching is perfect. 

My complaints regarding it are pretty simple, and I am learning to work around them. First complaint is that it does slide around in the hand because of how big it is, and it when you try to lay it down it slides a bit too. Again,  I am working on dealing with this by putting it on my laptop that has stickers to hold it in place, sort of. 

My last complaint is how small the gap is to get the fabric to start sewing itself. It feels like it should take 2  people to do this. 1 to hold the arm up, and another to carefully put the fabric underneath. 

It's still a pretty cool tool, and I can't wait to try it out with other fabrics. It's quick and easy, and does the job perfectly for me.

I absolutely love it, for small projects.

I bought this item thinking it would make my life easier, but in no way did it.....it does not perform any sewing task as expected, the thread continues to remove itself from the needle so nothing gets repaired...I would not recommend this to anyone and I wish I could get my money back...worthless for what it was made for and what I bought it for.....

They gave me an open box sewing machine what kind of joke is this open box and used not fair

It's used !

Very disappointed. I bought this just to hem some leggings for my daughter. The fabric plate lifts and there isn't a lot of clearance under the needle, however to sew you don't put right under the needle. It does draw the fabric through if you have it under the plate. THE FIRST TIME I used it to hem my daughters leggings the NEEDLE BENT.  This shouldn't happen on fabrics like this as it wasn't that thick. I wasn't pulling the fabric it was feeding easily and then did that.

Can't even see kids cotton leggings

Just don't order this. The directions are all Chinese nothing about use is clear just crap
