Yes you can. For twin needle stitching, you will need to purchase needle style 2025 (this is two needles attached to one shank), as well as an optional second spool pin if you do not have one. Thread the first spool of thread as you normally would. Attach the optional spool pin to your machine and then thread the second spool of thread exactly as you did the first. The spool of thread on the left will run through the eye of the needle on the left, the spool of thread on the right will run through the eye of the needle on the right. Set the width of your stitch and manually turn your handwheel to make sure that the needles do not strike the throat plate.

This machine does have twin needle sewing, you will need needle style 2025 for twin needle sewing.

Yes, you can use twin-needles on this machine. You just have to be careful that you don't set the width of any decorative stitches too wide. It's pretty much trial and error depending on the stitch selected.

Front load bobbin. Class 15 metal bobbin, it will not work with plastic bobbins.

Purchased this sew machine as a gift. Was a little worried as it was factory serviced, but spent $9.00 for the extended warranty to cover that. I tried all the stitches and it works wonderfully and am very happy with Singer and the excellent timely delivery from Walmart - right to my door. Would recommend this sewing machine to anyone looking to sew some fun things!

Bought as a gift thinking of keeping myself!

Bought this for myself because my old one just gave up after 30 years and I'm very glad I did. Lots of nice features on this machine and yes, I tried them ALL just to make sure everything worked like I expected. Love the buttonhole feature and decorative stitches...will be using those quite often, I'm sure. Also love that this machine will allow the use of twin-needles. That's something my old machine wouldn't work with. Makes topstitching so nice. A nice assortment of accessories are included, too. Would definitely recommend this to anyone needing a new machine!

Great machine!

This machine was a Christmas gift for my youngest daughter. Fortunately, I had been able to go out to visit her, and was able to be there when the sewing machine arrived. Since she's a mother of two young children, and hasn't sewn for years, I offered to set up the machine for her. Long story short, it wouldn't start. Thankfully there was a Walmart near her home, and they did have the same machine in stock. I was able to replace the machine, and returned the original to Walmart. That machine did start, and worked well. I am very glad that I was there to be able to handle the situation for her. The original sewing machine definitely did not meet expectations, and would not have been a great gift, but the replacement did.

Original didn't work

I just used it and I love it! I learned how to make a button hole and how to switch the presser foot. I also like the ease of making a bobbin. This is a great machine for the novice and advanced person.

a joy

I bought one for myself. I was quite pleased with it and my original plan was to use it for a while and then gift it to my daughter, but I just couldn't .... So, I bought her one, too.

I've made several baby quilts with the decorative stitches... even applique work. I'm needing to upgrade now because I simply have to be able to free motion quilt, but I'm still not getting rid of my Sew Mate.

Singer Sew Mate

Bought this factory serviced online for my wife. First, the foot was crooked. I fixed that. But when she stepped on the pedal, the motor ran, but the needle did not move. Someone really screwed this machine up.

Not a single stitch

I have been sewing for nearly 60 years. I bought this machine as a back up with I needed to send my Janome in for repair after 20 years of sewing. I have used the Singer two times and it won't sew. Worse machine I have ever sewn on.

Don't waste your money

I was very disappointed in this machine. The bobbin wouldn't wind properly. It just got all gummed up. When trying to put a bobbin in the machine, the whole bobbin casing fell out. The settings on the right side of the machine didn't move at all. Could not adjust anything. I would not recommend a computerized machine or one that has to be factory serviced. In the past I have always had Singer machines and been very happy with them, but not this one.

Right out of the box, the machine's needle would not adjust from right to left. I returned the machine, and Walmert gave me a refund.

Machine did not work

My machine does not work out the box. The bobbin winder does not work and the bobbin casing is broken. I would not recommend getting. This machine. I did not know that it was used. Watch for the wording "factory-serviced" in the description.

Do not buy "factory-serviced" products.
