The Simplicity Sidewinder Bobbin Winder is the perfect tool for those who use sewing machines regularly, or those who are taking sewing classes. It helps in transferring thread from the spool to the bobbins, easily and quickly, without having to unthread or rethread the sewing machine. The freestanding bobbin winder has a tension knob that you can use to adjust the winding according to the thickness of the thread. The handy bobbin winder works on 2 AA batteries, as well as, with its included power cord, making it a portable device. This practical winder works with most machine brand metal or plastic bobbins. The winder will automatically shut off when the bobbin is full.

I works with metal and plastic bobbins. I have a new sewing machine and regardless, I will still use this handy machine to wind my bobbins. Its a lot faster when you need to switch colors fast.Would recommend!!! 01/10/2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by knitwit55 What a waste of money I purchased this and it is going back to the store. I thought it would be great not to have to unthread my machine just to wind bobbins. This can't get out of its own way, much less wind bobbins. It started out fast, then lost speed and continued to sputter and took forever to wind a bobbin. It is also very noisy. I even tried a different spool size but it made no difference. I wouldn't recommend this. 07/06/2009

I did some research and came upon this wonderful product. It is soooo cute! It works great. I am happy that I did not have to spend a ton of money for a solution. 04/20/2009
