My husband and I have had our pillows for many years. They last and last and never go flat. I was so sick of goose down, polyester, memory foam, etc. They ended up flat in no time. A latex foam pillow never goes flat. I recommend putting a zipped pillow protector over the pillow along with the regular pillow case to keep it clean. I sense no "out gassing" odor.It is great for side sleeping. No problem with my arm going to sleep as with my previous pillows. 12/10/2011
