I just measured it for you, 30 inches from the top of the desk to the bottom of the bed.

The correct distance between the desk and the botton of the loft is 23.5"

Hi I just read ur questions i no its been 5 months since u asked but I just got this 4 my son bout 2 weeks ago n I measured it and the distance is bout 30in but I wouldnt go no bigger than a 27in tv!!! I hope this helped!!!

Sturdy as can be, I think other reviewers had difficulty with simple assembly instructions. My daughter has this bed and has sleepovers and with 2 people in the bed it's sturdy as can be... Both 60-70 lb children.  Looks sleek and modern. Taking it down after 3 yrs and it looks brand new still

AMAZING

I needed to make an office/bedroom of a small space, and I bought this bed after carefully researching loft bed/desks online. The bed I'd initially found that seemed best suited for my space (and my tastes)--ladder on one end instead of out into the floor from the side + spacious desk and a clean, spare look--cost over 3 times what this bed cost, and had a very similar look to this one. I was thrilled to find this bed at this price, and it arrived 2 days earlier than scheduled. Wow! -- After reading what others had to say about assembly, I took my time, laid everything out, followed directions carefully and assembled the bed with no problems whatsoever in about 3 hours. -- BTW I realize most reviewers bought this item for a child or young person, but it's rated for up to 225 lbs, and I'm a single man weighing 150. It's working great for me. It does have a very slight give (wobble) to it when I climb up and down, but not nearly enough to be a concern. I can't recommend it highly enough if you need to make a bed and desk work where space is limited.

Outstanding value for a great loft bed/desk

We bought this loft bed for our seven year old daughter. For the money, it is a decent bed but do not be fooled, this bed will not be as solid as you might hope. When we bought the bed, we figured this would be a temporary thing for our daughter and that she would want a regular bed in a few year's time so we did not want to spend a lot of money. The price for this bed was perfect.

It took my husband and I about 2 hours to put it together, the directions were easy to follow and it went together quite well. However, once assembled, we discovered that it moves. A LOT. My husband was not comfortable climbing up in it because it moved so much. Our daughter was scared the first few times she did it. I have climbed in it to change bedding and I am uncomfortable with how much it moves around. I would not sleep in it myself but I do feel like my 50 lb daughter is safe in the bed. She loves it and is now unphased by the movement of the bed.

If you want a bed that isn't going to move around when you climb up in it or shift around while sleeping, I suggest a loft bed from a furniture store but keep in mind, you will pay more than double what you'll pay for this bed.

It came as or looks in the picture but it's very unsteady. It wobbles and if u or the user of the bed weighs a lot it probably won't do

The bed is not very stable. When my son goes to get in bed the entire bed shakes and he only weighs 55 lbs. Some sort of stabilizer should be included.

Not what I expected.

Came damaged

The desk was cracked on the backside about a foot long. The corner of the desk had a big glob of glue from where the packagers glued the box closed. Tried to pull it off but it pulled the black on the desk. The front screw holes to secure the desk didn't line up at all and made it impossible to screw. The metal itself was scratched in several places. It took a little over 3hrs to assemble. Your fingers will be sore from snapping all the plastics in place. Be sure not to break any while pushing in because there are no extras. It is very tall, leaving only a few feet from bed to ceiling. It is not sturdy at all, my 7 year old son struggled to get up there without the entire bed shaking back and forth and the stuff on his desk falling over. The ladder is squared metal rods. I hope to find something to help make them more comfortable as it hurts my sons feet really bad. There's no way to contact anyone about damage. Whereas other online sites are very thorough and allow feedback. And am I really going to take it apart to send back after 3 hrs of installation,  NO! I've wasted enough time.

I bought this bed about a year ago on a different account. I was moving in with some Co workers and the space was tight so I needed a desk and a bed. After looking through all the options I settled on this... Got the bed and we didn't have all of the screws so we got some more only to realize that the holes were misaligned for the screws... We got a different desk part only to find the same problem... I weigh 125 pounds and this thing shook everytime I coughed or sneezed... It didn't feel safe... If you order it make sure all of the parts don't have these problems of it does then SEND IT BACK.
