Not sure about the WII and CD player, but it does support two external speakers.

The Sherwood RX-4508 has CD input and output connectors. Nothing labelled WII, but there are &quot;AUX&quot; input and output connectors. You will need two (or four, if your want) speakers.  A note -- the connectors are RCA plugs, not the 3.5mm mini-jack connectors that are common today. If you are in this boat you might have to buy adapters. Walmart may carry them.

Can I hook up WII and a CD player and do I need to get external speakers for this receiver

No, this stereo receiver does not have a headphones output port.

The previous answer to this question is NOT correct. The Sherwood RX-4508 has a headphone plug in the lower left hand corner on the front of the unit. However, it takes the larger 1/4&quot;  jack that audiophiles like. If you (like most people today) use headphones with the 3.5mm (1/8&quot;) jack used with mp3 players, you will need to get an adapter. I imagine Walmart carries it. The adapter plugs into the headphone plug and your jack then plugs into it.  It will cost you something less than $5.

Does receiver have output for headphones?

No it does not have HDMI.  You can go to the Sherwood site and download the manual which has the back panel connections.

Sherwood 4508 has plenty of clean-sounding power. Setup is simple, including the Bluetooth feature. Sound quality is excellent for the price. As others have said the outer case of the receiver is a little light so care needs to be taken to not dent it.

Clean sound with Bluetooth

This stereo amplifier replaces one that was zapped by lightening.  It is great, and even better is the fact that t arrived two days earlier than promised.

Totally satisfied

Looks good, logical easy functions, and sounds great.  I am a stereo geek and have 5,000 watts in the living room with 6 channels.  This one went in the garage powering two towers that have 18 inch woofers.  The aux out powers a separate work bench system that has a powered sub-woofer.  I looked at bookshelf and boom box type systems and knew they would not make me happy.  This amp was less $ than those type systems and sounds way better.

Great Two Channel

Husband got this for Father's Day hoping it would be great because he wanted the Bluetooth tech to play music from his phone. Sound quality just wasn't there. He said if he could of added an  equalizer he would have kept it. Very very weak on bass.

Not enough bass

good AM and FM reception in a rural area.  good sound quality compared to the one it replaced.  only issue is not enough inputs -- only two + phono... and we had more (satellite, dvd, mp3 etc.).  Bluetooth works well for steaming Pandora music from the cell phone.  Also no hdmi port  in or out out for the TV.   But for the price it is a good receiver.

excellent for the price paid

This unit is exactly what I wanted. It has a phono input and none of the other extraneous features that most stereo receivers come with. It does a terrific job in helping me digitize my vinyl collection of LP records. Also nicely plays tunes in my iPad via Bluetooth.

Sherwood RX-4508 Stereo Receiver

This device does all that it claims. The auto-tuning procedures are more complicated that they should be, with somewhat confusing instructions. Awkward unannounced jumps from FM mono to stereo mode may lead to apparent lack of signal. One of the few low-priced units with a functional phono input makes it a good buy.

(Haven't checked out the Bluetooth capability.)

The big speaker terminals in the back may make the unit too big for some conventional storage racks and the on-unit device select buttons are almost invisible.
However, the remote is well designed.

The unit works very well in our smaller living room space. Matches well with our big speakers. Clear FM and Am radio reception in a restrict space. Good value for the price.

My Sherwood AM/FM Receiver has good power, presets stations good. My CD and phono players all work good together as one happy family for my family.

Unit would not provide volume to both sides of dual Bose speakers. Label on unit said the unit was manufactured in March of 2004. This is May 2016?????????????
