Shermag - Glider Rocker/Ottoman Combo, Chestnut Finish with Camel Fabric Cushion 4.3 5 39 41
awesome purchase I searched high and low and all over the web. I must say that for the money, this really is the best purchase out there. The color and fabric are very nice. The seat itself is spacious, I weigh more now than I ever have, almost 200, and there is still lots of room for me in the chair, I don't expect it to be a problem after the baby is born either. I know a lot of people made comments about weight and spaciousness. It was easy to put together, I am told, since my husband did it :) The fabric on the cushions are very nice and soft. The reclining positions are awesome, and they give a really nice range of positions. The furthest back you really are almost lying flat, as much as possible, its really nice!I only have two minor complaints. While I do think that the chair is well made, I would not recommend using the arms to support your weight while getting in and out of the chair. They are the only part of the chair that seems somewhat flimsy to a degree, and I would suspect that prolonged use in this manner may result in weakened, possibly cracked arms. The second is the way the chair changes reclining positions. The top part of the arms pull up and slide back. While Manageable, it is somewhat awkward and may be more difficult with a child in arm. Other than that it really is a great product, particularly for the money! 06/25/2009
Was a great value but... I bought my glider a year ago at a much lower price and I have been using it to nurse my 11 month old. It has held up great after a move but the only problem I have with the glider is the lose screws in the arm rests. I have to tighten up the screws every month, if not they get very lose and wobbly. On the instruction sheet is does state that the screws on the arm rests need tightening every 3 months but I'm having to do that more frequently. Also another problem I have is that it squeaks sometimes and you need to use caution when getting up from glider since much weight should not be placed on arm rests. I am 5'4 and my husband is 6'2 and we both fit just fine. I gave it three stars because of the constant maintenance, but it was a great value at 150.00 since I didn't want to over spend and the cushions are comfortable. I would not recommend this chair at the 220 price, I would spend a little extra to get a maintenance free chair. 09/27/2009

Great price for the product Purchased this glider because we are having our first baby Oct 2009. I had looked around at Babies R Us and Baby Depot and knew I wanted a Shermag brand because of the research and reviews. Plus, I tried out the gliders, and they seemed the best quality and comfort.Pros:Price was a LOT cheaper then other Shermags I priced. This one reclines which I wanted.Reclines pretty far! I'm guessing if I have a C-section I'll be sleeping in this chair.Build: Very sturdy, doesn't squeak, no scratches.Material: Very soft and comfortable.Cons:It doesn't have a lever to recline the glider like the more expensive brands do - you have to lift up on both arms- which if you are holding a baby or had a C-section I'm guessing won't be easy to do. But again, for the price difference, I was willing to compromise. The chair doesn't lock into place like the other expensive ones, but I wasnt sure I'd need that function.Color: I wanted a darker material, but it was only offered (on this particular model chair) in the cream color I got and a green sage color.Overall the chair is great and fits well into our room. We had a big puffy rocker recliner in the room before and it was too big and bulky. 07/16/2009
