It comes with 2 pads and you don't replace them, you wash them on your washing machine.

They are made of heavy duty cloth. I have had my unit over two years and never worn one out, I don't really think it would be possible to where one out LOL. I only purchased extra pads for mine because of the amount of area I have to clean and I don't want to wait for pads to wash. I bought extras off site. I use my steam cleaner at least every other day and sometimes daily, it just depends.

Should last for a year or more. But I would find a way to use a small-towel on it. Would have to figure out what kind of clip to use so the towel wouldn't fall off though.

It all depends on how dirty you floor is. If it's really dirty one pad will be used. Replacement packs cost about $20 and you get 2 in a pack.

These are thick cloth pads and are washable. I think they will last a long time! I ordered a set of 6 on Amazon for $13.79, just so I could mop over each of my rooms multiple times using a new cloth each time for maximum clean!

yes., its a nice soft steam clean pad at the bottom . I cant see this being able to damage anything.

I use mine on ceramic tile and it does not damage the grout. But every so often, I have to clean the grout with a brush. But my grout has not been sealed.

Yes. Any grout applied correctly will not be damaged. If you grout hasn't been sealed properly you may need to clean it well, buy a white grout pencil and then seal with the new type permanent sealer.

The way the mop works, it doesn't get to grout very well.. it hasn't helped mine at least.

Yes and no - although if your tap water is really hard they recommend distilled water. I used tap. This is lightweight and easy to maneuver so it's not really important that it doesn't swivel.

Good buy for me after using the mop for years. Leaves floors looking cleaner and newer with a shine to them. The replacement pads are a bit expensive. But you can extend its durability by not allowing floor to be to dirty and sweeping and or vacuuming as manuals suggests. May have to do some good old fashion cleaning on your hand and knees around edges of floor. Overall a pretty decent buy.

Nice change from the sloppy mop.

This isn't my first Shark Steam Mop, but I worked my old one to death. It lasted about 5 years, but I used it almost daily, so I definitely got my money's worth. This time around, the cost is a third of what it used to be, and it's still the same great product! I have no carpeting whatsoever in my home, and after vacuuming, I do a quick cleaning on my bamboo floors with the steam mop. Perfect! The reusable/washable pads are great, just be sure to buy enough so you can get through an entire cleaning. My house is just under 2,100 sq.ft. and I usually go through about 6-8 pads. Wash in hot water with a little bleach, no fabric softener, and toss 'em in the dryer. I recommend always using distilled water... it will help your steam mop to last longer.

I am SO glad I got this GREAT steam mop! I've always wanted one...of course thinking the "top of the line" model is what I needed but NO. This Shark Steam Mop is DYNAMITE! What I thought was clean, wasn't...I was SO surprised to see what was on the pad after I used it the first time, AFTER I cleaned my floors the night before! I love that it comes with 2 cleaning pads and that you can wash them...LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT! And the price....LOVE it even more!

The Best Mop Ever! This mop is fast, easy and effective.  It works so well, I can't live without it! I actually had this mop but let a friend use it and they gave it back broken.  At first, I thought, I don't need this. I originally got my steam mop with the Shark Navigator Lift Away Vacuum. It was quite a deal and I thought it must be very expensive on its own. Well, the next week, I saw the Shark Steam Mop online for so little, I bought it that day for store pickup.   In fact,  I love them both so much that I found the Shark Vacuum and Steam Mop together online and got it for my mother.  She has never been happier.  Clean up is a breeze! From now on, I will not lend it out, at this price, they can buy their own!
