This machine is battery powered and will not work manually.

Will not work without charge. Motor moves brush. Holds charge well, though.

Nope. The first sweeper of this kind I bought wouldn't charge, and so it wouldn't pick up anything. (I exchanged it for a new one and it works fine.) The battery lasts for a while, but if you can't charge it between uses I suggest you get a different sweeper.

No, this does not work without being charged.

No. It is cordless, but the manufacturer recommends that it is charged at least 8 hours before use. It must be charged before use.

I doubt it, Mine barely works after being charged.Save money and buy something better.

This does have a rechargeable ion battery.

It has a battery but it's internal. You have to plug a little cord into the base of it to charge. A pain in my opinion.

It has an ac adapter. It plugs into the wall same as a cell phone. When ready to use, just unplug and go. When done connect to recharge.

The charging indicator light will stay illuminated as long as it is connected. Specific charging instructions are included in the User Guide.

I keep mine plugged in when not in use, that way it's always ready to go.

There is no light to let you know it needs recharged. It will just lose power and eventually shut off. There is a light that will come on when it is plugged in to charge.

It runs slowly when needing recharging. I simply plug mine in after each use to be sure it is charged for next use. There is a light on right upper side of oval that tells you it is charging and goes out when totally charged.

There isn't a "time to charge" light. For the money, I'm just using my judgement... Was worth it, but no bells and whistles of more expensive product...

on the top of the sweeper is a small light that will show green when fully charged.

When my low cost sweeper arrived I was hoping it would pick up my grandson's dropped snack foods, but to my surprise it picked up dog hair, crumbs and moved on to the area rug and did the same. No it is not a powerful vacuum, but for day to day clean up it is awesome and a great price value.

Bought this because I live in South Carolina and horse camp frequently. Use it in my living quarters trailer to keep it free of sand and leaves. Works great. Very handy.

Great Recargeable Sweeper for Horse Trailer!

This cordless sweeper is so light and easy to use. The handle swivels easily and I use it nightly in my kitchen and throughout my house during the day for quick pickups.  I charge it at night occasionally and loved it so much I ordered one for my daughter too.  You'll be amazed at how much dust this little Shark Sweeper picks up and it's easy to remove the tray and discard the rubbish.  It's something every household can use and the price is right.

Amazing Cordless Sweeper!

If you keep it cleaned it will last a long time and work well. You have to cut the hairs and strings off the spinner every few days. I also wipe mine down inside and out. I empty the canister through each room. If you don't maintain it, it will not last long.
