Ok, I NEVER review things, but all the reviews on this site made me finally break down and buy this table for so cheap without looking at it, so I am returning the favor. First, ordered the table and chairs, and both were here within the week. Assembly, I'm a female college student who can't even name the tiny tools that were provided with the table and chairs to assemble them and I had the table together in 5 minutes (it literally took longer to unpackage the entire thing than put it together) and the chairs the first one took me about 30 minutes because I accidentally had one piece backwards. The other ones I knocked out in about 15 minutes each, and that was with the TV on. Oh and I did this entirely by myself. Looks, it looks beautiful and is perfect for the small dinning area in my apartment. There are a few spots on the chairs (if you get up REAL close) where the finish isn't PERFECT, but whatever to me it looks AMAZING, and for only $179 (table AND chairs) even better. I was scared it would look too cheap but to my surprise it doesn't. Definitely a step up from IKEA's dining options and surprisingly also WAY cheaper. I might decide in the future the get some cushions for the chairs, but I feel it might make it too grandma, I like the modern simple way it looks just the way it came!

We got this about two weeks ago. When we got it there was a piece missing from one of the chair but my husband was able to use a little wood glue and it worked fine. Was a little upset about it though. Other then that all the chairs and table look great and are very durable! They look more expensive then they are so it was totally worth the price.

No offense to Walmart, but I wasn't expecting a lot with assemble-yourself furniture. These chairs far exceeded my expectations. While they took a while to assemble, they are sturdy and very nice. Friends were shocked.

I've put together the rest of the chair and am on the last step. This step is attaching the seat to the legs. There are no pre-made holes but it looks like it is attached via small screws that are supposed to be screwed in with that plastic baby-screw driver they give you. Did anyone assemble this another way? Any tips? Thanks!

    • A. The baby screwdriver is only used to align the silver inserts the screws screw into. Use a regular screwdriver, as recommended in the Tools Needed section of the assembly manual.

    • A. there should be 4 small pre-drilled holes for the screws which go in at an angle/slant. It's easy to do. If you dont have the pre-drilled holes then just sink in the screws, 2 on each side of the seat-they will go in. No, don't use the baby plastic driver - this is TOO weak-you need an actual real phillips head screw driver because you have to turn those screws in hard : )

    • A. In the horizontal pieces of the chair, you will see diagonally drilled holes. That's where you set the screw and screw them into the chair.

    • A. I used a regular screwdriver on the 3 I was able to assemble. The screws went in pretty easy. And it didn't split the wood.

    • A. I used a real screwdriver and it worked fine. You just have to be careful that the seat is exactly where you want it to be (centered left-right, and pushed all the way to the back of the chair).

    • A. No, you're not supposed to use the little plastic screw driver! That's just for getting the cams lined up properly for the bolts! You should use your own phillips head screw driver, as indicated in the instructions (under "materials needed but not included")

    • A. The instructions were not clear. You have to put the screws in at an angle, and beware, the seat will not be flush with the base. Each one is off in a driierent way, it isn't pretty.

    • A. You actually just create your own screw holes. What i did was in the front two screw spots, on one of them but the screw through the hole on the base part of the chair, in the front. Make a little indentation on the bottom of the seat part (where the screw will go) then take the seat part off, take a hammer and make the indentation a little larger, then put seat back on, and screw it to. they go pretty easily that way.

How large is the box that the chairs are shipped in? I want to save to $50 shipping charge... Will the box fit in the trunk of my Honda Civic?

    • A. if the back seats of your Honda are able to go down to make the trunk larger, yes, you can fit the box in there. I also have a Honda civic and this was the case for moi : )

    • A. Ashley, If you remove the contents of the box, you can fit the parts into your Civic. But no way you will be able to fit it in a Civic trunk. I have a 98 4Runner and the box fit inside it with no problems.
