the table top, chair seats and backs are made of MDF and the legs for both the table and chairs are made of solid wood.

Yes, most of it, the chairs and table legs. The table top is laminated fiberboard.

It appears to me to be made of particle board (which has that wood like finish) that is painted.

The storage top lays flush to the top of the table.

I was hesitant to buy this table because I'm a person who NEEDS PICTURES, but I purchased it anyway because the reviews were really good! I really love it and I can't wait for my son to see his table, I think I want my own! It is really easy to put together, it took me 10 minutes! It is sturdy and the colors are bright. fast delivery three days earlier.  inside everything is in excellent condition, there are no defects.  easy to install.  it came almost ready-made, I mean, I installed only the legs. my children are happy!  this was one of my Christmas gifts.  they collect sesame street.  I bought them toys, pajamas, books, and here's a table and chairs.

The paint on the center square piece started chipping on the first day we used it. This is what it looks like after 3 days. We haven't even used it yet for drinks and snacks, but I imagine if it's already warping now, it won't last. Not a quality product

I bought this to gift in Christmas didn't open it until yesterday. When we opened it we found each item is or poorly built. 1) the table is damaged from one corner 2) lid in middle didn't fit 3)chair rest doesn't screw
