There is 10" of upholstery materials in the Willow. It ships in a compressed package so upon receipt it will not be a full10". Once it is opened and decompresses (24 hours max) it will expand to about 10" at the crowns between the tufts which is the maximum height.

This mattress has a thickness of 10 inches.

Coming in a smaller box than any of the expanded dimensions I was concerned about the recovery to full size and quality. Says on the box to allow 48 hours for expansion to full comfort design. It took 4 hours and it is a vast improvement over the original futon mattress. Softer and more stable at the same time. Spend the extra couple bucks and get this one and you'll be telling yourself a week later how glad you were that you went for quality. Wish it was a bit lower cost.
