Really Not a Problem This is an excellent product. I was able to load it up and transfer all my data and able to access all my data. What I cannot figure out is this. I have reached my capacity on my ipad. I bought the GoFlex to enable for me to transfer information to GoFlex to reduce the capacity on my ipad to allow me to have more space on my ipad. Great Idea, Great Product And it get's better with age! I was just reading the reviews and felt compelled to comment. I've had my Satellite for a little over 6 months, and it get's even better with each firmware/software update! I use mine for a minimum of 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, as I ride the train to work, with zero problems.This is the best new device since the iPad itself. I understand it's a little difficult to get the process down, but once you do it's such a time/life saver!At 8-10 hours of battery life now, and up to 8 simultaneous connections it's pretty amazing! Plus you can connect to a network now while connected to the device!Only thing to make it better will be the next 4G LTE version. If they release a new one with DLNA incorporated I'll be buying another!Way to go Seagate!!! 04/05/2012
Great Idea, Terrible Execution I was really excited about this product. The chance to take my 500+ movie collection and play on all my Apple devices (iPad, iPhone, etc). After installing the firmware, I was able to hook up to the hard drive, but when I select "Video" for content, the hard drive flashes it's pretty blue light, but shows no content. I have restored the settings and started over, but no luck. I also hooked the GoFlex up to my home network which was supposed to allow me network / internet access while I was on the GoFlex network - this did not work either (I have a nice little green icon in the iPad app suggesting that I should be hooked up, but it doesn't work. I put "Good" for features, because the ideas are good, they just don't work. I am a pretty IT savvy guy and I couldn't get this to work at all (at least after the firmware update). Big disappointment - don't waste your money on this clunker. Seagate usually does a better job - this is really disappointing. 04/02/2012
