Worthless Junk I purchased this cartop carrier kit from Walmart because I'd lost some of the blocks from another kit I had, and buying this entire set from Walmart was cheaper than buying a couple of replacement blocks from elsewhere. Unfortunately, I learned that you get what you pay for. The tiny little round openings on the foam blocks in this kit are far too small to fit around the gunwales of my canoe, and they didn't stay snugly in place when I flipped the canoe up onto the rooftop. They were completely ridiculous. I've never had this problem with blocks made by Riverside or Old Town. Also, most cartop foam blocks include a rubberized coating on the bottom to prevent them from sliding. These blocks do not have that feature. They are complete garbage. I returned them and shelled out the extra money for a cartop kit from a reputable manufacturer. You should, too. Save yourself the grief. 06/07/2010

Tipper Topper I drove with this holding my canoe for 9 hundred miles on my ranger, i must say i am pleased, the door hooks are great and held well, I will replace the rope with a less slick rope as it is hard to tie. 05/04/2010
Good Product This is a good product for the money. I just needed something to keep my canoe from scratching the top of my vehicle and the foam pads did the trick. Never used the buckles, just used the rope and a couple of ratchet straps and it worked great. Hauled the canoe on a 3 hour trip and it never moved an inch. 07/21/2009
