Scosche Dash Install Kit for 1982-2005 GM 7 7
Not for all 1982-2005 GM models I have a 93 Cavalier with a DIN and a 1/2 factory receiver and this is for GM models with Double DIN receivers to make them Single DIN. Plastic seems sturdy for the unit, price was 10.88 on here (when i looked it up) but 13.88 in the store ended up returning immediately and got the correct from Auto Zone for 3 bucks more. Good product if it fits, but doesn't fit all models. 06/22/2011
It is a great product but it did not fit my car It said it would fit my car but it actually didn't so I had to return it and get the correct one. Other then that it is a great product for the right car. 01/19/2012
This kit contained very confusing instructions, lots of confusing brackets that were useless, and for my 94 Astro van told me to modify stock mounting brackets in a way that made them totally useless. I couldn't figure out which brackets worked, as the brackets themselves aren't labeled to let you identify them from included pictures, and the pictures show generic-shaped brackets vs. ones shaped like the included parts. They didn't even label the included screws/nuts properly for a novice/random guy swapping his radio, and I ended up paying an audio shop $40 to make sense of the mess. It even took them an hour to figure out/put in, and I overheard the two installers working at the shop complaining about how worthless these "universal" kits are. Unless you have the simplest dashboard ever made, I'd only buy this because it's way cheaper than what an audio shop would charge for a bracket; if you have little time/patience, plan on not even opening it and just finding a pro shop to just charge labor for an install. 02/26/2012
The ad on the web site said it would fit up to 2005 GM products and the instructions that came with it said it will fit up to 2002 GM products. 07/25/2011
