    Best Stroller for the Money

    Customer review by LovinLifeAsAMommy

    5.0 stars by LovinLifeAsAMommy

After spending $300 on a Graco Quattro Tour double stroller & $210 on another I was sort of nervous about this purchase. I felt like I'd already thrown more money into strollers than I wanted to. I couldn't be happier that I purchased this though! The steering is amazing, I can steer one handed uphill with no problem (I'm not super strong, the stroller is just that great at handling), it is super easy to fold down & put back together. It's also easy to lift into the trunk, which is super important when you have 2 small children & you're trying to get everything in the car quick. The children love that they can listen to their music, I've found it to help their patience last longer in stores. (It also has put them to sleep a great number of times!) The seats have a cushioning pad on them, which makes for a more comfortable ride. Overall, this is the best stroller I've come across & I'd recommend it to anyone needing a double stroller, whether you plan to jog or not. One thing the description doesn't list, the handle is adjustable. You wouldn't think of needing a feature like this but I think being able to adjust it is convenient. Especially when I'm 5' & my husband stand 6'2'', it's a stroller we can both enjoy pushing. As a matter of fact, we argue over who gets to LOL. ("

I have one year twins and we bought two other jogging strollers before this one...what a mess that was! This is GREAT! I love it! Easy to set up, perfect for me (I'm 5'4") and my husband is (6'3") and the height of the handle being able to be adjusted is PERFECT! The ease of changing from walking to jogging (fixed to nonfixed front wheel) wonderful idea! Would recommend this to anyone with two kids.

Fantastic!!! Was looking for an alternative to BOB which is just not in our budget and just seems WAY to expensive. All the moms in my Stroller Strides group have either BOB or Bumble and one mom who has Instep. This Schwinn is top of the line, rides so smooth and is just as easy as BOB to steer. The ADJUSTABLE HANDLE is strong and easy to adjust. Works great for me (5'11'') and my husband (6'6'') and I feel like my posture is so much better while pushing it...bonus part is it goes low enough for my 2 year old to push also. I just lock the front wheel and he gets to push his brother (6mos 25lbs) and it keeps him focused when he decides he wants to get out and walk...quickest trips home with him out ever. The FAUX LAMBSKIN is easy to remove and DOES NOT HAVE TO BE CUT. There is a BAR ACROSS THE BASKET area which would make it difficult to put a diaper bag in the basket (which is very spacious) but they created a little snap that you can open and easily slide any large items in and then snap it back up. The SUN SHADE goes down completely touching the snack tray if is then open on the back/top area. This is different than the BOB which covers completely from back all the way down to the tray. I feel the Schwinns design is a bonus as it lets lots of fresh air in. It always seems like the kids must be so hot in the BOB when they are enclosed by the canopy. So far has FIT THROUGH EVERY DOOR I have tried including my front door and single wide resturant doors. I love that the WHEEL LOCK is located by the parent tray...very easy to lock for jogging and easily unlock if I need to turn or end up with the baby in my arms and then need to unlock. The wheel lock feature was the reason I returned the had to bend down and lock the front wheel on the wheel itself. As for the STROLLER BRAKES...there is one on each wheel and they are pretty large compared to other strollers I have had in the past...This is the ONLY area in which I think the BOB is a little better (has one long bar that is used for the brake and would probably be easier to use in sandals) but this is something that is NOT a deal breaker for me and I can easily live with. One more thing...the boys were so COMFORTABLE in this that they BOTH fell asleep the first time we used it. This has NEVER 2year old has only slept in the stroller twice ever! This is the best value you can buy!!! Affordable and superior quality!

That looks good for the winter, but I would imagine it could get very hot in 90+ degree weather.

    • Yes it does. But I am using them in the summer and my sons (5 months and 3 years) do not get hot in them and the nice thing is they don't stick to the nylon material. If you take them out they will stick and that would be uncomfortable. Summer in St. Catharines ontario is hot too.

    • Yes the liner can be removed and put back on as easily as adjusting the straps.

    • Yes! I was concerned about this because of the Texas heat and I read in a review somewhere that they had to cut it out... Don't Do IT! You have to undo the straps to take it out, but it doesn't take long. If you've ever had to take the liner out of a baby carrier to wash, you know exactly what to expect.

    • yes they do come out and if this stroller is for a baby i would suggest buying another insert to make the baby snug. Although it looks like the faux lambskin wool liner is reversable i think it would still hold in heat

I have not been able to find a video on this stroller to see how it works. I am planning to travel on an airplane with it, and wondered how well it folded up. Do the wheels have to come off?? Also, is there a place on the parents tray for keys, cell etc? Thanks
    by KeelyQuin 3/6/2011
    • There are two red tabs you pull on sides and stroller folds in half. You can remove the front wheel if you like, but we dont do it (just put it sideways). There is a small tray for keys cell etc between cupholders

    • There are two plastic pieces on the sides of the stroller (mine are red) you gently pull on them. The one on the right has a button inside that needs to be pushed in and the stroller collapses together. There is a clip to clip it together once it is folded. Wheels come off very easily. small switches that you lift and pull out the wheels. Yes there is a compartment between the cup holders on the parent tray that has a snap down lid for keys, cell phone and even MP3 player or whatever. small divet in the plastic for wire to go to speakers.

    • Folds up very easily but is pretty big. The wheels do come off easily as well. Yes there is a parent tray with a compartment for keys phone, etc as well as 2 cup holders

    • It folds pretty easily. You do not have to take the wheels off, but it does make it fold down even smaller if necessary. The wheels pop off really easy anyway, so it's not a big deal. Yes, there is a parent tray. It has two cupholders plus a spot in the middle to hold your cell phone, keys, etc. The spot in the middle even has a lid that closes to keep your items safe.

    • I take this stroller with me in the car all the time. It folds easily and you do not have to remove the wheels to do so. Also it is very light weight and has handles to grasp for lifting.

    • There is a red release switch on the handle that allows it to fold flat. Mine came with an accessory sheet that had a travel bag you can order. I would get it if I was flying because you'll probably want to take the wheels off the get it flat. THe bag would keep it all together.

    • The wheels will have to come off to fold up, and yes there is a tray with a snap shut lid for keys and cell phone.

    • Yes there is a enclosed compartment for keys, cell phone, etc. and a cup holder for the parents. The stroller collapses about as well as any other double stroller. I take the wheels off to get it in my care, but I don't believe they have to come off to collapse. It collapses exactly the same way as the InStep, so any video or pictures you find on the InStep would be the same. Happy travels

    • I was able to put my 1 month old in it. With the seat fully reclined and the seat cover she was very comfortable. The straps adjust to fit very snug and the strap covers keep them from rubbing on her neck.

    • They say its not, however, we found that with lamb skin/ fur insert and seat all the way down, it is probably fine. We will be trying it soon. Seatbelts are really good, so I see no reason why it would be an issue.

    • I don't think so. The shoulder straps aren't adjustable for a smaller body. You can't change the shoulder height of the straps. I think it would probably be best for a 6mo+ baby. The seats also don't recline all the way flat. They are still on an angle and a baby would slump against the sides or the straps.

    • no not a newborn... it's recommended that you dont use the stroller until 6 months however i started using it with my daughter around 3-4 months (only for walking not jogging) and the staps were still big on her and i couldnt tighten them the way they were suppose to be. the padding that comes with the stroller is fabulous for chilly weather and gives some support but not enough to support a newborns head/neck

    • No, you need a stroller where the baby can lay flat down and has more support for the back and neck. My son has been riding in this from 5 months but he is strong and big (18 lbs 14oz) You may be able to use this with a car seat until the baby is bigger and stronger.
